I got so excited this month as I was 2 days late and I am NEVER late. Went to the supermarket and bought some tests to do in the morning and over night AF came I then worked out that I wasn't late at all, was actually right on time. Boohoo and I was getting so excited! It is kind of good though as it means if we get pregnant next cycle I will only be 7 months for my best friends wedding- not 8 which may be a bit big in the middle of summer... still.
So once again fingers crossed for this month- 10th time lucky maybe?
Baby dust to everyone else too!

Well, I'm on my last clomid cycle, so fingers crossed this is it for me! But I'm not feeling too confident - all these months of BFN's does that I guess.
Is it bad for me to admit I have aobut 6 HPT's in my drawer waiting for testing time? I'm a POAS addict!

Well things are starting to look good for us. I have posted elsewhere about my irregular cycle, and how I started charting etc to see how things were working. I have just got AF today - that makes a 34 day cycle, with Ov signs around day 22, after a 35 day cycle before this one. That is so much better than the ranges previously of anything from 4 to 7 weeks!
Hopefully this cycle will be similar, then we can start ttc the following cycle.

Bummer Ana maybe this time.
Taarsha - I know exactly how you feel im a POAS expert too (well im good at something after two years LOL) and the BFN's sure do get you down.
Im just plodding along had an argument with DH today as he turned me down this morning this is crazy its getting too much thats for sure am def thinking of stopping after this cycle just for the sake of my marriage & sanity!! Mind you the husband is getting a new bike this week (the motor sort) its a hyosung GT650R in red (if interested go to the Mt Eden Motorcycle website & look thats where hes getting it from.) Im not totally happy about it as I know what boys are like (esp brothers) when they get on these machines but he promises to be careful & he needs some time out anyway AND im not totally missing out myself as we will be buying me one of my dream cameras (I had to have SOMETHING!!) so yeah cant whinge too much LOL
Hope you are all having a good week take care & TTYL & im going hunting for some babydust!!

Binka's Mum - I'm sorry to hear that the whole TTC process is getting you down and taking it's toll. It's so hard to think about anything else and it becomes all consuming. In a strange way it has been a blessing for us to find out that there is next to no chance of conceiving naturally as it has completely taken the pressure off and now I hardly even think about it, which is quite a relief after over 2 years of TTC. So I sympathise with you and DH... I hope things improve with a BFP really soon!

Hi ladies im new here and currently TTC and having a few problems, i've just got a question for Lou, i see you are joining the ivf wait list, my question is: do you need to qualify to be able to join the waiting list and then if you do qualify do you have a sort of stand down period before you actually join the main one or do you just go straight to the main waiting list, and then about how long is it? i'm just currently wondering what sort of options are out there for us.
thanks

Hi Noodle,
There is a points system where you have to achieve 65 points and then you will get government funded IVF. Points are based on how long you have been trying, reason for infertility, weight, smoker vs non-smoker, etc. Your fertility specialist can take you through a sheet which will show whether you would meet this criteria. If you have unexplained infertility you would normally have to had been TTC for five years before you would qualify. We qualify for government funded IVF in October and then the normal waiting period is between 3-6 months before starting treatment (I hear it's more like 6 months +, due to the amount of people already waiting).
If you do not qualify for funded IVF you can opt for private, which is around the $8,000 - $10,000.
Hope this helps...

yup - 5 yrs for unexplained infertility. sucks huh? By then I will have stopped trying.
I wonder if anyone remembers me - its been a while. I have completed my final clomid cycle - unsuccessful as normal. So thats it for us - no more help from the specialists, we are on our own.
So I have decided its time to let it go - I am still charting, and am not stopping ttc, but it's not gonna be as big a focus now. I need to let the emotional stuff go or it will destroy me. So I'm determined to jsut enjoy the nicer weather coming, and stop focussing on TTC.
I'll still lurk around from time to time to see what everyone is up to though!
