Just wondering what everyone is doing (or has done previously) to keep themselves busy during the last few weeks of pregnancy?
Some of you will be kept busy with your children and families, me, I'm a first time mum and am enjoying:
* Lots of reading
* decorating the babys room (painting the cot/drawers etc)
* borrowing dvds from the library - this week got the first season of the Gilmore Girls to watch
* walks each day
* washing sheets, duvets, flat nappies when the sun is out (not really enjoying, but am liking having the time to do so without feeling rushed!)

ETA: am also sorting out my wedding photos into an album (only 13 months after getting married!)

i've still got a week and a half of work to go - but already have a big list of jobs i've been putting off till i had time -- including doing the thank-you notes from our wedding (in january!!), backing up all my photos, finish unpacking (we moved in february)... what's the bet i don't get any of it done and spend all my time on OB!?!

Michaela came on my last day of work so I didn't get any time off before she was born but did spend weekends and evenings washing and folding baby gear and rocking in the nursing chair in her bedroom and day dreaming.  Oh and sleeping, I did lots of napping when I wasn't working.

I still have two and a half weeks until due date and am still waiting for the nesting to kick in! I've been reading lots, slowly cleaning the house, trying out new recipes (especially loving finding crockpot recipes to use), and um....watching crappy tv.

I've done a bit of walking but I think I'd be more motivated if there were others around to walk with - am doing more over the weekends with DH.

We were too anal about being ready for the baby so everything is painted and washed already - silly eh?!

ETA: I should also be doing our wedding photos - we were married a year and a half ago!

I did spring cleaning and secretly went through the hoards of crap DH had and threw out a lot of stuff lol.

I did all the things I knew I wouldn't get to do for a while and all the odd jobs around the house I had put off

I had from 32 weeks off (as that's when my degree finished), I painted baby's drawers, got everything tidy (lasted all of about 3 days after Jack got home), spent time on OB (too much time I think), walked when I could still get my feet into shoes, organised all of my teaching resources into subject then filed them away in storage boxes, and then from 36 weeks I sat on my ass cos I kept being told I was going to be induced and to get rest so BP didn't go up, I ended up going overdue so that sucked.

Oh yeah and from 38-39 weeks I went camping down south over Christmas. Had to get DH to pull me off the airbed every morning but it was fab as everyone else was sitting on their asses too.

I'm also still working and have four weeks to go. I will be moving down to Mum and Dads once I have finished work and am planning on washing Baby's stuff, sitting on the couch and watching DVDs and thats about it.

I finished work and then went back for 3 part days to train my replacement. Managed to fit in a manicure and pedicure. I thought about finally putting away my baby shower gifts and finishing packing our hospital bags and then Jack arrived 8 days early!! So I really only had 3 week days off before he was born

One thing that I did do before he was born which came in handy was make a few lasagnes and shepards pies and put them in the freezer. It was very handy on bad days after he was born as all DH had to do was zap it in the microwave with a few frozen veges and dinner was done!

Enjoy your time bfore baby arrives ladies!

I'm with Sarah - I'm stalking on the OB message boards, also:
thinking about cleaning,
getting old DVDs from the shop but not having time to watch them,
going to osteo/MW/OB appointments,
finding photos on the computer to go on the baby's wall,
doing work (figure I won't have energy after baby comes),
answering my sister's emails about my BP,
write lists of what to put in hospital bags
write shopping lists
fighting the urge to sleep
running round shops for last minute things (like sunshade for car, head snuggler for carseat and bassinet)
trying to understand MCNs from all the websites out there
eating and dreaming about chocolate

I'm also meant to sort out 2 years worth of photos and decide which ones to print, then arrange them in photo albums

DD Came on her Due date and I finished work a week before. The problem was that I did every thing before that so every thing was ready to go.....

So I kept re organising the way I stored her cloths. Cleaned frantically any thing that baby could come into contact with with Detol

Kep Vacuming and dusting and moping to make sure every thing in the house was clean. Watching movies while ironing every item of clothing for us and baby....

So yah I went nuts. Thank God I didnt go overdue...I think I would have lost my mind. My frinds told me if I washed and cleaned any more there would have been holes on floor and carpets etc....

Relax and enjoy I say.....life will never be the same after!! LOL (Honest it will be great!!)

Don't go too nuts with the baking - everyone brought me chocolate and biccies (and of course you can't have too much choc when b/f so I had to wait until I'd finished). I didn't do much cooking to prepare, I thought stuff DH he can cook for once. It was great cos it was simply just me time, trust me you NEVER get me time again.
