Topic: Weighing in....2005 bubbas at age 3? Posted: 21 June 2008 at 10:00pm |
Ta-Da!
Ayja had her 3yr old plunket check yesterday.
At birth she was just on 6lb 2oz (2.8kgs) and i can't remember how tall, about 49cm i think.
Age 1, was about 8.5 kgs,
Age 2, weighed in at 10kgs, and 85cms
She is now, wait for it..... 12 kgs, and 91cms tall.
And looking over in the pregnancy threads with all thel adies cheering each other on, I am remembering how many of us there were this time 3 years ago, all waiting to pop, or having just popped in the may/june/july time.
Our babies are now officially out of toddlerdom - hopefully out of terrible two-dom,
and just a bit too small for the 4-5yr old bossy/cheeky stage.
Apparently 3 is a good age from what i remember, lets see if my memory serves me rightly.
ANYWAY... So, let's see some stats.
Where are all the other 2005'ers at?

Jake hasn't had his check yet, he has it next month, but I had to measure him for his passport, so he was, about a months ago 99cm
So, At Birth 7lb110z (about 3.4? or 3.2kg?)
51cm
About 1 YO 10.8kg
76cm
About 2YO 12.5kg
86cm
and at 3 YO 15kgs (35 lbish?)
99cm
Wow, lots of growth!! Height wise, anyhow.

lol, sooo cute aye. I have been looking at Ayja running around today and thinking how much she has changed and looks like a big kid now, she had her hair down and it's getting about half way down her back now, and she's just so much better with coordination, and not so stumbly now that she's gained a bit of height.
I remember doing the same when Paris turned 3, realising that she was changing really quickly.
They do the funniest things.
Ayja is much the same, her happy times are so so funny and crazy, she giggles at everything, is as mad as a hatter (in fact, she still gets hiccups really easily from laughing, and still refluxes when she gets the hiccups.. a fair few times when mike has been making her really silly she has sicked up onhim just like she did when she was little!)
but the bad days...... OH, ..MY, ...GOD!

Oh, yeah, I'm hearing you there!!! when they are bad, it NUTS.
The speech and the new things they come out with is soo funny. Jake does the hands on hips thing and goes, "so, mummy." so I go "so, Jake" then he nuts off and goes NOT YOU MUMMY JUST ME! So, mummy. and If I don't do it, he goes you do it mummy so i do, and we go through the whole tell off thing again, lol.

O please please let you be right and 3 is a great age....so far, not so good. I think due to starting kindy and being extra tired she has had the biggest tantrums in her life over the past month, but fingers crossed once she sorts herself out for being a bit busier she will be OK and turn into a wonderul 3 year old
Anyhow, stats
birth 5.15 pounds (2.690kgs)
49cms
1 16.11pounds (7.58kgs)
70cms
2 11kgs
87cms
3 13.6kgs
94cms

Briona has developed a sense of "deafness" in the last couple of days. Still hard to tell if it is lack of concentration, not listening, or full ears... although she hasn't had a cold so I'm betting it's not that.
She's getting better on her attention span, concentrating on things. She's started going to Sunday School and enjoys that, so is keeping focus for that kind of thing. She is still really crazy with her feet movements. Tonight she did a forward roll off the couch, not sure why, landed on the floor but jumped up again all fine and just about went to repeat herself! - so not afraid of bumps, that's for sure. We still want to get her into gymnastics. She is such a strong girl. When you hold her hands, she lifts up and climbs up your body - with or without your help, and you can feel it in her wrists/arms... she's all muscle, no fat.
I thought she would be better on concentrating and listening and following instructions by now, but I guess I have to be more patient. (We did try her gluten-free for a week but that made no difference.)
Anyway, stats are...
Birth 8lb 4oz (my biggest) (3.76kg) and 51cm at first week
She didn't have a check between 8 1/2 mos and 15mos, so on the chart 1yr works out at about 9.9kg / 79cm
2yrs 11.9 kg / 86cm
3yrs 14.9 kg / 95.5cm
Rather consistently holding onto the second line from the top.

Ayja, dare i say it, has had a switch flicked and has been pretty darn good for a few days now.
Paris on the other hand - today i am sure someone injected her with bouncy, crazy, whinging serum.

well, call me a bad mum but i have no idea how tall my child is. not only that but i can't find his plunket book to tell you how tall and heavy he was at ages 1 and 2. BUT i can tell you that at birth he was i think 52cm and weighed 8lb 6.5oz and we weighed him about 3 weeks ago and he is now a whopping 19.5kg, tall for his age though.
oh gosh i hope he starts getting better when he turns 3 in november, his current thing is constantly pushing every little boundary just to see if i'll react. also the constant "mummy, what you doing?" every 5 minutes can get tiresome.

I am soooo with you on the pushing the bounderies ellabellame, Anastasia is the same.......and I'm sure it is all very deliberate just to see the reaction from anyone that will react. She certainly gives Ashlyn a run for her money . I'm sure its not just the November birthday tho.
