she has been sick since thurs night and started off with vomiting, ended up taking her to afterhours and then ended up in hospital after she started vomiting blood.

we stayed night and they gave her some fluids and some meds to reduce the acidity of her stomach and to help heal the tear in her osophageus.

shes had diarrohoea since Saturday now and she still has it, she has done a couple more vomits but nothing major and no more blood.
Just wondering, has anyone else had this and how long does the diaorrhea go on for??

shes happy enough but just worried she could get dehydrated.
Im giving her water and formula whenever she will take it.
she's had a little food but shes not overly fussed on it.

Any ideas? should i take her to GP tomorrow or let it ride it out??

Thanks

oh no the poor wee thing! and you, it's so tiring eh!

charli had a bug when she was about 12mths old and she ended up in hospital because she was so dehydrated......just keep offering small amounts of liquid often. if she's not too keen to take it, try syringing it in, we did it in 10ml lots up to 100mls every 10mins.

the vomitting stopped first, then the diarrohea stayed around for about 7-9days

i hope she's better really soon!

Thanks it does get very tiring, especially since my son has also had it but luckily he is bigger so didnt seem to affect him so badly.

Might try the syringe thing

If she has a funny tummy she probably will have a reduced appetite. If you have any doubts, you should call the nurse at your doctor's office to get advice. I think what you're doing so far is fine.
