I think I have a breast Infection, my left boob is tender underneath and feels quite hard around the nipple and stuff, I also woke up at 3amish shaking cos I was sooo cold, I ended up getting out of bed putting my dressing gown on, putting both heaters on, took some panadol and lay on the couch with 2 fluffy blankets. I ended up falling asleep, must have been the panadol, and now today I feel like Ive been hit by a bus, Im hot in the face, but cold, and have a mother of a headache, I feel like I have a headcold with out the runny nose and sneezing!
So Im off to the doctors at 2pm, not looking forward to having him poke at my sore boob, but I want antibiotics if I have an infection. I tried expressing but couldnt really get anything out. Caden is formula fed now, as my milk supply was low and not very good, I stopped breastfeeding about 5 days ago and up until Sunday my boobs were fine!

That happened to me too (same problem with milk supply etc), in the end the only way I could relieve it was to put Cooper onto the breast and have him relieve it for me, after I did that I had instant relief and no further problems.
You'll be at the doctors now, so I hope you've got the antibiotics.. take care |

Ouch poor you! I was going to say it sounded like mastitis. At least you caught it.
I had the hard lumps and felt like I had a cold coming on but luckily I managed to get Rowan to clear it by putting her on it every hour and expressing in between. I actually felt the breast unblock . Not much help for you though.

If you've decided to stop bfeeding, you might want to try 'Milk Stop' to dry your supply up.

Oh Mastitis is painful!  Hopefully now you have AB's you'll feel better real soon.  When I got it, it came on real quick and I was soooo sick, so knew I had to get AB's into me fast.  I woke up with it bad in the morning, took two doses of AB's in the afternoon and was feeling much better by the evening.  So you should be feeling heaps better tomorrow!  Just sometimes the tender boob hangs around.   Hugs hun, I know it's not nice at all! |

Poor thing - I have had that too and touchwood never again!
I was like you too freezing freezing cold and then would get hot. Feels like the flu.
Hopefully you will feel better tomorrow once the antibiotics kick in.
Take care and I hope DP is looking after you
   PS - Caden looks gorgeous!
