Ok - so my paranoia has got the better of me, and I just want to check on something:

Baby has been moving pretty much constantly since i got up this morning (at 10.30). How much movement is too much? I have been sitting by the lounge window in the sun, so maybe it is the heat and light bothering him/her? I have also been having BHs all morning too.

Should i be at all concerned?

I would worry id baby wasnt moving enough....but moving alot is good...IMO.

It could also be that you are not having BH but mini congractions.....

thanks I do much prefer this to too few movements!

Think it must be BHs as they ease off when i change position (still a bit too soon for baby to come!)

Off to have a warm bath now anyway to see if that eases things

Have you been eating or drinking anything particularly sugary or stimulating?
Both of mine were very wriggly bubs in utero and still are for that matter!
I remember having days when my tum just felt bruised from the constant jiggling and poking from the inside!
I don't think you need to worry about it, s/he is probably just having fun dancing around in there

i had just eaten a huge fried breakfast which probably had something to do with it, on reflection.

Oh - so many things to get paranoid about from now and for the rest of my life!

BHs have stopped and Baby has now gone back to sleep after my bath, so doubtless by 7 o'clock this evening i will be prodding my belly in an effort to get it to move again . . .

j and T were both heavily affected by caffeine. when i was pregant I didn't drink much with caffeine in it cause they went NUTS. My kids were big movers so much so that i never needed to do that movement count thing.

Both my boys were big movers, there was only one day that Josh didn't move and that was when I paniced.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I found Chiara would have several days where she moved non stop all day then a few days where I'dbe struggling to count the ten movements. Gremlins were like an octopus 24-7, well actually Mercedes was, Sienna didn't move much at all.

this one moves all the time too! it's weird coz i didn't notice V doing it as much but last time i was busy with work doing errands, driving round picking kids & dropping kids at school & various activities.

I think he enjoys the fact that mummy isn't a rush around mummy anymore, busy but not rush around. lol.

He suaully has a couple of really active days, Then a quiet one where it's almost as if it's gotten too much for him

I remember with Miya I was about 38weeks and gave in to my cravings for a V after being so good at cutting out all caffine(apart from chocolate) she did not stop kicking and doing flips for about two days almost non stop! It was awful because my ribs felt bruised and it just made me feel sick whenever I ate anything.
