When its your partners / husbands birthday - do you organise a card and a present from your children for them, or do they just get a present from you?

We always do a separate card from Michaela and the first year she gave him a separate gift too (a photo of herself in a frame which says I  my daddy) but last couple of years we've given him a combined gift with both our cards attached.

We bought presents specifically from her. Lauren bought DH some aftershave and she bought me some Pandora charms for my bracelet!

I used to do separate cards for DH, but not anymore.. Nyah likes making her own now.

P.S. For my birthday Hannah always buys me a present. Last year it was Doc Marten boots and I got them a little bit early. She has great taste.

Hahahahah Nikki - DH normally gets me great pressies, so would expect Oli to have inherited his Daddies great taste! I would have been happy with a card (or even some acknowledgement ie DH even saying something like "Oli says happy birthday mummy...")

Happy Birthday!

Depending on what the present is we will either combine it from all of us or maybe just something little like chocolates and a card from the girls.
I always get Keira to atleast make a card and do some drawing for him.

Thank you all for your birthday wishes - DH redeemed himself tonight, but coming home with a bottle of my favourite champagne and then taking me and Oli out to tea at our local italian. It was so lovely and Oli was an absolute gem and charmed the pants off everyone!!!

Happy Birthday!

I don't see the point in seperate presents from kids when they aren't made by them or picked out by them. So DH is getting nothing from Daniel, I got nothing from Daniel and that's just how we see it. Once he's old enough to help choose something when he can understand the concept then we will

Yea, I'm kinda like kebakat. I don't usually get something from the girls but now that they are getting a bit bigger, Hannah often likes to make a card for an occasion. Briona more just likes to be part, like carrying the present etc. For Fathers' Day we did a breakfast in bed and all the girls got to carry a different part (Kryssi the banana, Briona the tray with bowl and spoon, and Hannah the two airtight containers with milk and yoghurt in them!).
