Topic: Heatpumps - Installed one recently??? Posted: 15 September 2008 at 1:42pm |
Has anyone out there recently installed either a Fujitsu, Mitsubishi, Daikan or Panasonic heatpump? We've had quotes for all of the above and are trying to pick one of these brands.
Just wondering if you can recommend your make/model and if you're happy with how the heatpump is working for you.
Thanks

We are in the process of quotes for them.. but the inlaws just got 2 (they have 2 houses). They got a panasonic in one and a mitsubishi in the other
On the weekend they recommended the mitsubishi over panasonic. It's apparently quieter (as in I didn't even know it was on when I was in the room) and easier to use or something so we are going with mitsubishi on their recommendation.

Yeah Mitsi seems to be the quietest on the market (thought it was Fujitsu at first) but unfortunately they are about $500 dearer than the F.....so not sure if we can streatch the budget that far. Thanks for your tips KEBAKAT!!!

We are having a Panasonic installed in our new house (building). I have heard the Mitsi's are quieter but was recommended the Panasonic. Obviously can't say if we like it or not yet though

We've got a 7kw Mitsi and I love it, and yes it's very quiet. The only time that it's noisy is if I turn the fan up to heat the room quicker.

We've got a Fujitsu and its excellent. Very quiet, and really cost effective to run.

We have a Mitsi (I think 9kw) and its great. It heats the room really well and quickly too. Its a little noisier than I thought it would be, but that could be because we have a large open area to heat and has to work harder?? But in saying that it blends into the background noise very quickly.
