We have been attending for the past 9 weeks a Life Works Journey course run by the Lighthouse church as a beginners or introductory course regarding christianity.   Today was the final to it with a Q & A and a BBQ lunch. Another family with their 3 young kids have been attending alos and came along to day for the first time to a sunday service. During lunch their youngest boy, Thomas, choked and died (I'm not sure of his age other than around 18months)....right there, in the church. 2 nurses were there and did what they could till the ambulance came and did what they could but no one could save him.

I'm numb now, have been trying to figure it all day but just can't.

Oh my goodness! How aweful. You know things like that happen but it becomes so real when it happens to someone you know...even more real when it happens in front of you. It must have been dreadful. There are no words...

And for it to happen on their first visit to church too...

Hugs.

that would have been so horible for you. i kind of know what the feeling is like and it just sticks with you. the day after i had noah i was walking my mum and my sister out of the hospital and you have to go past the labour and delivery to get to it and we just happened to look down and saw a tiny pink coffin being carried into a room, it was the most horrible thing i went back a hugged noah so tight and cryed for ages.

i guess theres nothing we can do except pray for that poor family and hug our babies extra special tight tonight .

hugs to you
