Topic: One of my other babies... Posted: 15 April 2006 at 9:34pm |
Please please PLEASE forgive the really bad quality of this photo, but it was a bit tricky to take ! Hehehe...
Anyway, just thought I would show off one of my other "babies" as she has not been getting as much attention as the others lately and needed some extra cuddles
Edited to add: Oops ! Almost forgot, her name is Nina

Furball! My sister is a Fur Mummy and she is so obsessed with her cat it scares me! She was encouraging Maya to lick him yesterday...

Woah That's taking it a bit too far IMO... ! I love and respect all my cats but try not to go too crazy
Edited to add: Mind you, it just occurred to me I might be a bit of a hypocrite... I don't 'lick' my cats as such, but I have been known to give them the odd smooch Nina is fond of giving me Eskimo kisses too...

Ew yuk ! The only food I share with them is leftover bits of chicken or something from dinner, and even then it goes in their own dish

I don't really like cats, but we have kind of adopted a stray black cat, but it is not allowed inside as we don't know if it has any diseases or anything, once it is around more often I will probably take it to the vet and get it checked so that it can come inside.
That is a gorgeous cat tho Jax.

awww your baby is gorgeous jax!
i love my baby 'kitty' to bits, she's so cuddly and smoochy. kitty also likes to give kisses, it's so precious!
my friends think i'm mad loving my cat as much as i do, but we've been through alot together in the last 12yrs since she was born cats are great company, i love it when she sits on my lap and purrs, it's so soothing!

Hehehe thanks everyone, she is definitely my darling, but I often call her my 'blonde' kitty because she isn't always the smartest Here's a far better picture of her:
I threw this one in because despite the beautiful white fur on her tummy, she LOVES rolling in freshly dug dirt...
I also agree about how soothing it is to have a cuddle with them sometimes, I love the sound of purring, and Nina is especially loud sometimes ! Our other girls are good at it too, and I'm glad our baby will be growing up around some sort of animal - I have pretty much always had some kind of pet as a kid.

what a gorgeous cat! We are planning to get a dog, but not until next yeaR i think. But might have to get a kitty. Jake was on my knee when I looked at the pics and waspointing and grinnning at the kitty.
"oooooohhhhhh" - so cute. I truly believe that people who get kicks out of being cruel to animals grow up to be serial killers, so would like Jake and Taine to have some respect for animals.
When Jake was little, we had two cats. For some reason, the cat would sit there, and Jake would bite her ears. ick.

HAHAHA what a sweetie ! Bacchus looks very handsome, how old is he? I love some of the totally awkward positions kitties will happily sleep in... for example:
On the left, our windowsill, and on the right a very tall speaker LOL She was there for over two hours !

Ok now, this is going to seem bizarre, and probably a bit gross for some people. When I use the loo I hardly ever shut the door completely, just swing it mostly closed unless we have visitors. Anyway, our baby kitty Possum has a fetish for visiting me in the loo ! She never used to, so I don't know what brought it on, and I am also going to take this opportunity to curse my addiction to modern technology... (cellphones with cameras and whatnot). Possum really isn't a cuddly cat at the best of times, but check this out:

haha, oh my god. that windowsill position is priceless. it's like she's determined to sit in the sun.
...and as for bathroom cats, yeah, no concept of personal space! I used to take a bath and Bacchus would hang over the edge with him bum in the air just staring at me! After I got out one day my partner decided Bacchus needed a wash and pushed him into the FULL BATH and the poor beggar has never been quite so bold since
Bacchus is still a kitty, he's about 6 months old. Here's a pic of him as a possessed robot.

she's a Jack Russell. Foxys have finer legs and faces, jacks are boxy and sturdy looking, although you probably can't tell if you don't know!! You can definately see the diff when you see them together, though.
She is sooo sweet natured and a good loyal family dog, and most importantly, she LOVES Jacob, never been jealous, always good and patient with him, even when he yanks her ears and feet and tail. She even plays ball with him, he has learnt to throw a tennis ball for her. *sigh* love my pup. When I was preggo I was worried I wouldn't like the baby as much as my dog! lol!

The trouble is, it's just her face that has the best focus in that photo, no side on view for me to look at I've been around a few foxies and jacks, one of my aunts has a longstanding addiction to them. Maybe it's just that photo, but she doesn't seem to have that 'boxyness' that you're right about jacks having. She's beautiful either way LOL I'd love to have a "little" dog like that but hubby doesn't like them much, so next best thing could possibly be a German Shepherd or Alsatian somewhere down the line... We shall see though, DH also has dreams of having a Maine Coon kitty one of these days - I don't know how we'll fit all the furballs into the house LOL
