This Sunday (19th Oct) is the EDD of our angel. I'm not sure if we should do anything to mark the day or not... What have other people done to mark EDD's of lost babies?

Ours is coming up soon as well. I've just been trying to ignore it which probably isn't very healthy
I have wondered about planting something (maybe in a container in case we move so we can take it with us), was thinking of finding something that flowers at this time of year so is always a small reminder (not that we'll every forget but I hope YKWIM.)

Yeah im not sure what we will do, due date is new years day and we will be on holiday so i might just take a nice walk or since it is at the family batch might take a nice fruit tree or something to plant there.

Big 's to you Rach! I know it will be a bit of a sad day!

Thanks guys, yeah I was trying not to think about it too but couldn't help it in the end. We don't want to make a big thing of it or anything, like won't get family involved. Just maybe DH and I can do something nice together, a walk or a picnic or something.

Yeah Marissa you were due a week or so after, planting something will be a nice way to acknowledge the day too.

I know what you mean Rachel, we find it hard to know what to do around those times too. Not thinking about it hasn't worked so far! Remembering and doing nice things seems to be good. Low key and comforting I reckon. Lots of       !

We didn't do anything...upon reflection not sure if that was a good idea or not..we just had a talk and a cuddle and I really just needed the day to be over ...and I was pregnant and people assumed that made it better which was hard:(!

Rachel yours is a day before mine (mine will be 7 years on the 20th). I am blowing a balloon and releasing it, I did it the first year and havne't done after that and for some reason I really want to do it this year. Other than that I don't really do anything else.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I am planning on lighting a candle and letting burn down. Our EDD is also DH's grans b'day, she passed away a few weeks after we found out we were pregnant again so I think we will light a candle for each of them.

A picnic sounds nice if the weather is good. Nice "couple time" for the both of you.

Thanks so much ladies. DH and I just had a cuddle and thought about what it would be like to have a baby right now, and how different things would be. We're both so thankful to have a healthy baby on the way now, but you're right foxxy_one, it's still sad to think about the one we lost and what could have been.
I also baked a cake for our angel and had a wee cry while DH was out playing tennis. It was good to let it out by myself too!
