I've been back at work for 2 days a week for the past couple of months now. I quite enjoy my job & now that Liam is all settled into daycare things are going well.

The trouble is, I have absolutely NO motivation to do much work. I am required to keep daily timesheets & the boss expects us to do around 6 chargeable hours a day. I am really struggling with this as I just can't be bothered doing enough work to make up 6 hours. I feel terrible but I can't seem to get it together. I do feel quite tired but I don't think that's the main reason.

Does anyone else feel like this? And any ideas as to how I can get my motivation back? I feel so slack & have started waking at night thinking about the work I should be doing...

I have just lost 4 of my 5 classes but am required to be at work all day. To keep me actually doing something I keep a list and add to it with things I have to do. ticking off the items is quite motivating and it also stops "helpful" people saying "if you have a moment...", i can then say "Sorry, no time. i have to.....(consult list)....check my marks for year 12"

Hi Sally Belly
I recently went through a stage like that and I found the following things helped me:

1. No phone calls or appts before 10am and then I would shut the door and get as much done as possible.
2. Aim to do as much chargeable hours before lunchtime - I really struggled in the afternoon and doing this kept my hours up
3. No trade me or ohbaby during work hours which is now the norm, but I still check my personal hotmail but I have a rule that I can only check it after each chargeable hour so its like giving my self a bonus.
4. The last 15 minutes of the day if possible I try and reorganise my files and office and tidy it up so when I get in the next day I can get started straight onto chargeable hour stuff.

Hope some of that helps
