Topic: Help! Need a babysitter! Posted: 11 November 2008 at 11:54am |
Jono and I are going to the Def Leppard concert on Friday night, and it looks like our babysitter for the evening may not be able to do it.
Anyone know where I could find a good babysitter from at short notice??
Could pay maybe $10 an hour.

From about 5.30pm til say midnight or 1am.
I really wanted to get boozy and jump around like a teenager and not have to worry about getting home in time to relieve a tired babysitter. As per usual though my MIL who was supposed to do be doing it is probably unavailable now.
My only concern is that they'd have to bathe him and get him into bed and that might not work with someone he doesn't know.
Argh!

Could you maybe give him a bath in the arvo ...?? I wouldn't worry too much about losing routine for just one night! Any DVD's that might keep him entertained for a wee bit?

Yes, could definitely get the bath done, and we have heaps of dvd's. Actually, more I think about it, I could probably leave home closer to 7pm, and maybe even get him into bed then. Would just need to make sure he sees the babysitter before I go so he doesn't freak out if he wakes up and there is a stranger in the house.

OMG Kelly! Seriously??? That would be fantastic! I absolutely would trust you with my little guy.
Yes, in Onehunga.
And I'd make sure there was lots of preggy lady nice snacks in the house for you
I'm just waiting to hear from my cousin who *may* be able to do it and will PM you as soon as I hear from her.

That is just so kind of you Kelly
If you wanted to bring Caitlyn there is plenty of room, she could sleep in my step-daughters room. And there's stacks of toys/books/dvd's/art stuff for her to be entertained too.
And if you wanted to bring your DF, there is a pub right out the front of our complex

Kelly! Been sending you PM's but I'm not sure if you are getting them - they don't show in my outbox once I send them.
Thank you so much for your gorgeous offer to sit with Josh tonight but my cousin has insisted upon doing it.
Really really appreciate your offer
