Hey Ladies,

The last few days I have been bringing up drink and food after eating. But only very small amounts. Especially when I hiccup.

Is this normal?

Yep - it's worse if I lie down straight after eating. mmmmm! Homemade tomato soup was best avioded for me. (now, what to do with the 2 litres of the stuff in my fridge?!?).

I avoid lying down for several hours after eating...means early dinner in our house but at least I avoid the heartburn.

Yup, what you're experiencing is termed gastric reflux, and often burns - have that fairly often myself and agree that it's not very nice ! Largely caused due to things getting a bit more squashed up. Oh, and I get it not only when I hiccup, but when I'm on the bus, stand up after sitting down, and often when I burp as well So yes, it's normal
