DH and I bought one of those kitset bookshelves from the Warehouse. I thought I was sooooo clever putting it together all by myself! I screwed all the shelves in place, then nailed on the backing boards with a million tiny nails. It looked really good at the back...

Then I turned it around...

I'd only gone and nailed the backing boards on backwards!

I give up!!!

you'll just have to make sure it is permanently covered in books so no one notices

I did that with a set of drawers the other week but thankfully they were just screwed in so I could change it back easily!

Grrr, that's frustrating. Don't tell anybody and they probably won't even notice.

Lol that's EXACTLY what I've done twice now - with the bottoms of things though, I put the lovely veneer bit on the outside (ie the bottom of whatever) then turn it up the right way and realise that of course you want the mdf facing the floor Same as littlelittle though, luckily with both of mine they were screwed on so I could easily fix it.
