Anyone have/used one of these? Any good?
They are on sale at baby city (online only) down from $99 to $69. From pictures I've seen though it kind of looks like you need to unfold the whole thing to get to the pockets which would obviously be a pain...but maybe you can get to the pockets without unfolding it? It's kind of hard to tell!

I haven't got one but it does look a bit like it could be a pain. What happens if you get the mat dirty? DO you have to wash the whole bag?
I love my detachable changing mat. I just have a satchel nappy bag and have found it perfect.

I have looked at them (we went with the GR8x bag instead) as you are right, you have to open it up to get to the pockets (which is a PITA if you ask me)

Cool thanks guys, definitely don't want to be opening the whole thing up every time I want something! Will rule that one out then

I don't have one of these but I do have a smaller version that is fantastic. It was about $17 from kmart. Basically its a plastic change mat with two pockets on the side, one for nappies and the other for wipes. I still use a nappy bag but find this better for quick shopping trips, heading out for walks -   whenever I don't need a big bulky bag.

Can I ask which GR8X bag you have? I have been looking at the Hobo Slouch but wonder if it's big enough?

I am interested in one of these for when baby arrives, thinking I can just use it for quick trips and have a nappy bag with non-nappy related things for when we are out for longer.
Does anyone know if they are big enough for cloth nappies?
I might look at buying one, otherwise I have a book that shows you how to make something similar

I just bought one of these to pop in my handbag for short shopping trips too.

Fold and go changing kit

It was at baby factory, on special $12.99 (was $25.95). I probably wouldn't have bought it at full price but for $13 it will be very handy. It's just a mat with 2 mesh holder things on either side - in one side I will put a cloth nappy (a trim one, prob itti bitti) and plastic bag, and the other side comes with a plastic wipes container (like the huggies ones) that I'll put a couple of wet cloth wipes into. There's also a small zip compartment in the front. It folds up to the size of just bigger that one of those small huggies wipes containers.

So Linzy the little one I have would be big enough for 1 trim cloth nappy but not really any more. But the one in the picture at the top of the thread looks like it would fit more.

Thanks for that arohanui, at $13 I could buy 2, one for each of the kids (I am resigned to 2 in nappies until next summer )

Yeah I thought it was a great price! I presume it's at all Baby Factory's, I got mine from Botany.

They're just black though, with grey inside... classy though
