Topic: So am I weird? Posted: 30 December 2008 at 12:41pm |
LOL
I can't remember doing this with other pregnancies....but with this one, whenever I have bought a new item, I haven't removed any tags. I don't have a reason for this. It's not so I can take it back to the shop or anything. I've figured if it doesn't fit etc, then I'm just going to put it on TM.
So does any other preggie ladies have a hord of brand new stuff and the price tag still on them? lol
I also did a 'stock take' last night of everything that we have so far so I know where to go from here. I didn't realise we had so much stuff so far!

Ive learnt to keep the tags on ..
Issy (being our first born) has a heap of clothes and most come out of the drawer AFTER she is too big for them.
Now at least if I keep the tags on if they dont fit her I can "gift" them to other kids for Christmas/Birthday etc.
Now getting DH to remember NOT to rip the tag off before trying to fit her huge head through a gap meant for a 3 month old is another thing.

I have always ripped tags off but guess I should have kept them on - mind we haven't found out either time and I have only bought nuetral things... I just can't help myself lol! I really hate when things get wasted though so I kept everything super organised by size and would try a few different items every couple of weeks. Still do but now its every couple of months :)

I ripped the tags off everything I bought while pregnant but that's because everything that was going to touch her skin went through the wash before it was folded and put away.

I'm exactly the same. As she got older I stopped washing everything before letting her wear it but all the clothes I have in storage and any new ones I buy for baby Mojo will be washed before I put them away.

I have kept all the tags on, but then everything is still in the bags they were purchased in!!!!
I had not really thought about it until now, to be honest we have not really bought that much, besides if this bubs legs keep growing at the rate they are our giraffe wont fit into any of the newborn onesies lol!

I have kept the tags on too. until its actually going to be worn, I want the option of returning or exchanging. I must admit though all of Tom's newborn stuff got washed but I just bought a little girls outfit from PP incase this one is a girl (so she can come home in pink) and I wont be washing that incase I have to return it.

This time I have found out what I'm having so haven't been worried about it. Mind you, if the scan is wrong she'll be wearing a lot of blue lol.
I don't think I even have any receipts left anyway to return. Except for the cot and mattress for warrantee purposes.
I guess in a couple months the tags will come off some so I can wash them.
Glad I'm not the only one lol

I keept all the tags on caden stuff and then when i was about 35 weeks pregnancy i washed everything.
I dont wash his stuff anymore, he just wears it if its new, cant hurt him.
New babies stuff will be washed first until it is 3 months old.
My stuff, i rip tags off as soon as I get home

I haven't taken tags off anything yet and haven't washed anything yet either, was thinking I should wait a bit longer so they are freshly washed for when bubs comes.... should I wash them now?
Should I wash the bigger ones or leave them with tags on until the baby gets older?
I don't think it feels 'real' yet that we are actually having a baby soon
