Yes I believe in them, I have yet to have reading done (but have the card in my wallet)
I went a couple of years ago to Deb Webber and she was just amazing. My DH has had his done a few times years ago.

I certainly believe there's something in it. I've had a few readings and some are just rubbish - just speculation - but a couple of good psychics are so spot on, there's no way it's guesswork. They can't be getting this stuff from anywhere else.
I know it's said that psychics can 'read' your expressions - but I have a completely deadpan face and am sure I've given them nothing to 'read' from me.

i believe in them......but there are alot of dodgy ones out there so you really need to go on word of mouth when choosing who to see.
i've had 3 readings in my life, 2 of them were really on the money. my last reading was last year and most of the things she said have happened or are starting to take shape
but in saying that, i certainly don't take what they say seriously. i live my life how i want and make decisions based on how i feel, not what a psychic has said

Personally I think it's a load of hooey. I think that some people are perhaps a little more empathic than others but the whole reading the future thing is not possible IMO.
Why would you want to know anyway even if they were for real? Not knowing is half the fun in life and i've seen people take advantage of peoples readiness and in some cases desperation to believe in these things. It can be very cruel. Put you're money in the bank. You'd gain more from that than handing it over to someone who can't promise you anything anyway. (spot the major cynic lol).

Never been to a psychic but have had a tarot card reading, my palm read and my numbers done and I agree with Dana.
They're all a bunch of harmless fun but not to be taken seriously.
I had mine done while on holiday's for a bit of a laugh.
Nothing they said was very specific and none of it has happened as they said it would.
My thoughts are would these things have happened if I hadn't been to a fortune teller? Or do things happen because someone plants the idea in your head. Most a pretty general any way, in regards to relationships, career, money etc.

I do, but I would only go to one that other people highly recommend to me.

I don't really either. I read my horoscopes for a bit of fun, but I can't say I'd pay to see a psychic. I had one of those TTC predictions done on the internet (a free one only) and it was totally wrong. In fact it was so wrong that we weren't even TTC in the months that she said we would get pg!!
I agree with MrsG - sometimes things happen because the psychic plants the idea in your head - like they tell you you're going to go on a holidy or move house and you do, but you might not have done if they hadn't suggested it. Other times I think they just get lucky - like some of the TTC predictions out there give you a 3-4 month period and most people will probably conceive in that 3-4 months because of averages.

I believe in psychic ability, but I also think taht there are a lot of con artists out there. I had a reading done while I was in australia a few years back, and its all come to pass, even down to who the father of my daughter would be!

I guess I would have to say I believe in it as I own my own Tarot Cards! I do the odd reading for friends (as a hobby, no money involved) but certainly do not profess to be a pro, it's all about interpretation. However, I also agree there are those out there who play on people's insecurities and only say what they want to hear, rather than the 'psychic' having any true gift.
I have also had a couple of readings at different times of my life - went to them after they were highly recommended, and were mostly spot on.

I generally will go to someone when I neeed some 'guidence'. It will be someone I don't know and I get to have an hour with them where they talk about me. It also seems to clear my head and I can think about what ever it is that I need to work on.
On a whole I've found them to be very good. Also keep what I write and love reading it so many years later to see what it said and where I am in my life.

I've done it a few times, twice it's been pretty freaky...
I went to the lady in Victoria park once... I wrote down the main points.. left it in a note book somewhere and then looked back a few years later... and it was insane the number of things she got right... some I didn't even have control over, as in I couldn't have done them with the prior knowledge perhaps guiding me subconciously... so that was interesting but it didn't help me as I of course didn't realise it for so many years... interesting none the less
Then I've seen Rose at the Titirangi fair...she said someone would betray my husband in busines... sure enough the last person in the entire world you'd think stab him the back... does it... like I said... even knowing doesn't mean you can do or plan... it's usually I "oh I was told that would happen"...

I believe there are people with the ability to talk to those who have passed on, but like any industry there are people who will try and con you out of your money.
I've had a few clairvoyant , tarot , numerology readings etc. with some really good people and they've been fantastic.

hhmmm kinda, i've been to one 'reading' and she was pretty amazing and didn't really do much on the future but all past and current stuff which was amazing! I love watching Sensing Murder too, but maybe I just hope that it's true as it can give people such peace of mind and hope!

yeah but the Sensing Murder people have never actually found any of the bodies.
and if a psychic told me not to marry my husband I'd probably do it anyway - but I'm like that

I never believed in it until a couple of random things came true or where pretty spot on.
A couple of years ago, a friend who was into Tarot cards as a hobby did a reading for me and lots of cards came up that symbolised motherhood and one had the leo symbol on it (no one knew we were TTC at the time). From this she told me I was going to be pregnant in July. When that July past I thought it was a load of rubbish, then I got pregnant in October and had a July baby! She was close! lol
How about this for freaky - Deb Webber did a show at the place my sister works and after meeting her said "don't worry about your Dad's leg, that will be fine. It's his chest he needs to see the Dr about". How was she to know that Dad had just had his hip replaced We're still not sure what the chest thing was as Dad gave up smoking just after Caitlin was born and has never had a problem there.
I don't think I would have another reading done as I wouldn't want to know if anything bad was going to happen or if we weren't able to have another baby etc.
