I am making sure we dont have any plans that interfere with TTC as well.
IE staying at friends or families houses or being somewhere or not being together at those times. We stay over at MILs house occasionally so i will be picking those times carefully now so not to miss any opportunities

haha I love how men always like to work to goals/deadlines. I find their approach so amusing.

I would like to learn how to chart!
When TTC our first we just left it up to chance, and are doing the same again.
But it makes sense to know when your chances are best during the month!
Good luck!!

I keep meaning to chart, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I've got a Maybe Baby, so I'm relying on that. I'm reading a natural fertility book at the mo which says the biggest cause of infertility is not enough sex. I've got friends who say "just have sex everyday." Bit hard when hubby's got a bad back and you both work...

Ive got a saliva tester too, but havent been using it as apparently their not that reliable. I think i will start using ova next few days since im approaching possible OV time and see what happens.
I cant believe theres not an easier way to find out if your OV or not........doing my temps is driving me nuts.....not to mention the lack of sleep im getting because i know i have to have 3hours solid sleep, so my brain keeps waking me up so i dont get 3hours solid...
Treen - your gonna have to start being creative in ways you can get more BD time in with your hubbys sore back........mine wouldnt let a broken back get in his way........IYKWIM
I want to try and get in a night BD and a morning BD on the lead up to OV but its not that easy the morning one cos of little ones and working too........its the last thing i feel like first thing in the morning.

Taking temps would drive me nuts too.
Why must you have 3 hours sleep? Does it affect OV??

I've been taking temps for about 7 days and am finding it quite interesting.
It seems worth it so far - it will be great to know the day that AF will come. (if it does heehee).
We are also aiming to time BD'ing around O to maximise our chances of conceiving a boy, so temps should help.
I think the 3 hours sleep thing is just to make sure you get a proper waking temperature

Ive learnt that the two days up to ovulating is the most important time for BDing, once you have ovulated its pretty much too late.......so if you know when your OV just got nuts two days before

Lol I stopped nagging him :). I barely mentioned having #2 probably over the last month or so..he started brining up the subject so figure he must be ready for #2 but even then I didnt really talk about it unless he brought it up.

kriss - the 3 hours sleep thing doesn't affect ov, it affects your temp which means it may not clearly show when ov happens is all
Good luck to all of you!!

Chickielou, I have a saliva tester too, we are trying for a girl and have been told you need to do it a couple of days prior to O for a girl & on O for a boy.
First cycle usuing it so not sure if my reading are right see nothing yet, but O is a few days away.
I also check out http://www.askdramy.com/ovulationcalc.html and FF.

I honestly dont think the temping is working for me. I dont stay asleep long enough and im very sure i have OVed as i had EWCM a couple of days ago and now its gone cream and not much of it and the pains in my tummy are getting quite uncomfortable....... But my temps have never gone up past 36.2 and i have had fluctuating temps from 35.7 - 36.2 the whole time. I normally wake long enough to look at clock and roll over and go back to sleep but i dont have a solid 3hours sleep. Which what i do now is better than the insomnia i used to suffer.I used to wake up every hour and stay awake for about an hour.....that was madness!!
