Topic: Was.....due today Posted: 22 January 2009 at 10:19am |
While I feel sad, its not something that I have thought too much about over the past few months.
Infact, it was my miss nearly 9 that reminded me that today was my due date. She'd written a short story about me being pregnant in her journal at school and we were looking through it several weeks ago....and she'd put the due date in there.
I had mentioned it to a couple people but didn't get into it much after the comments that included things like 'there was a baby anyway, so why be sad' etc....because I had a blighted ovum.
But having a blighted ovum doesn't make it any less of a pregnancy. You don't know this is the case when you get a bfp! And I was 'technically' 9 weeks along before a d&c was performed after my body showed no signs of letting go.
Anyway....just a little remberence for me today that pregnancy shouldn't be taken for granted, and a little sad at our loss. But also knowing that it won't be long now til I am holding our new bubba...
Thanks for listening :)

Thankyou ladies.....it good to know that I can come here and talk and know there are others who know how I feel.
Kazzle you were one who took the time to phone me, and I want you to know that that was appreciated and know that it helped me get through what was happening. Thankyou :)
I'm also stoked to see your ticker! Thats awesome :)

No matter what stage you lose your baby at it was still your child. From the moment we fall pregnant we become mums. As they say, what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger..

Hugs to you on your sad day. Mine is approaching rapidly too, and I am reassured that lots of you are pregnant again.
