Just a question..

Can teething give you a high temp?
I had to get Kylah from daycare today because she had/has a 39 degree temp..
She doesnt seem sick, she dancing to music now but is really hot?
Shes got no clothes on and a bottle of water, she wont let me near her with a cold fannel..

What else should i do? Im going to give her a lukewarm bath if she doesnt start cooling down.

Daycare gave her pamol

I'm pretty sure if she's got a temp, it won't be from teething.  From as far as I'm aware, a fever comes when the body is fighting an infection.  Hopefully it will settle down soon for her.

I always understood that teething couldn't give a child a fever. Maybe ears? You'll wanna head to the nearest doctors if it goes over 39deg. Remember to keep her fluids up.

They say teething doesn't cause a temp but Jack has sometimes had random high temps when teething.

Another possibility is tonsilitis. Jack had it about a week or so before xmas. He seemed relatively fine, still ate pretty well but had high temps on and off for nearly a week. I would try heading to the doctors in the morning just to dble check. All I could do for him was alternate pamol and ibuprofen to keep the temp down

i was at the doctor yesterday with my wee man, due to him being generally very unwell and had a high temp, i asked her if teething caused a temp and she said no, although it did turn out he had infected ears and tonsilitis so no wonder he was so hot and grizzly.
