Topic: Pick me up tips.. Posted: 01 February 2009 at 3:36pm |
I am a bit down in the dumps at present, and has anyone got any quick "pick me ups" that I could do?
I am super excitied that Lucy is back to preschool tomorrow to give me a little break, but apart from walking, is there anything else that maybe I could try?
Sorry for the rant!

Sorry your feeling down hun.
I would have said exercise, get those endorphins racing.... I find a good 30 mins sweating picks me up. So not really helpful considering you want something other than exercising.
Hope you feel better soon.

Well, this is the opposite to exercise, but baking something glorious cheers me up. Or making something fancy for tea that I haven't tried before.

Baking picks me up too. So does chocolate.

Maybe go for a huge walk then rent a funny movie and have a good laugh with some yummy treats. And maybe a glass of wine or two?

I love having foot baths and pedicures you could do your own or get one done at the mall or invite a few friends over and do each others.
Having a long bath
Getting your hair cut or coloured
Buying a new lipstick or nail polish or body spray
making food

Play some music you really like...
Do some cleaning (odd, I know - you'll feel dreadful doing it, but when it's done, it's a great feeling)
