Hi,
I went to get my hair done at the weekend just gone, been to the same one a couple of times always been happy.
The cut is fine, I also have some highlights and this time really needed just a root touch up, anyway on leaving all looked fine, but now I am looking and my roots look just as bad.
Would you call up and say something - I hate complaining, but i'm not happy and getting your hair done is not cheap.
Are there any hairdressers out there what would you say?

I've had a similar problem but my hair was a different shade on one side than the other!!
All you have to do is call them and politely say you're not really happy with the outcome. They will most likely rebook you and do the job again.
You're not pregnant are you? This can have a big effect on colours. My usual red came out ginger/brown and didn't hold for more than two weeks and it was the same person and the same product that i've had for 4 years.

Ok I will call tomorrow and just say its not quite how I thought it would be, I just can't leave it, it just still looks yucky.

You should definitely call them Fiona. No doubt you've paid them quite a lot of $$ & your expectations of how your hair would turn out have not been met.

Hi, I had a similar problem just after bubs was born. I didn't really notice it but my mum did - I was pretty upset. I rang the next morning and went in and the girl said that was what I had asked for!! Yip I want to pay $160 dollars for my regrowth to still be showing - seriously!! I politely told her again to ring the other branch and get my colours she said they had but I insisted she do it again (4 times I asked) She begruding agreed to fix it up at a further COST to me (hehehe) I was texting with my hubby who said no way - I was so fed up I really didn't care - however after it was all fixed up and I went up to pay she said no charge - needless to say the shop has now shut down. Sadly I went to another place again last Friday and my hair is ok - not exactly what I wanted but its ok, I seriously can't be bother complaining and sitting in the hairdressers again for another 3 hours - I will however be more direct at my next appointment.

Yeah I would. Just call them and do the sandwich technique, "I am really happy with the cut, its great, however Im not too sure about the roots and wonder whether you could take a look at them? Im always happy with the job you guys do" or something like that.
I went in to get a sweeping fringe a few weeks ago . The lady cut my hair, and I told the lady straight away that it didnt look like a fringe She told me I had a cow-lick (is that what its called?) and thats why my fringe wouldnt look the way I wanted it. Then she just took off my cape and smiled. She could have told me that in the first place, or even done the sweeping fringe from the opposite side of my head. Grrrr.

I have a cowlick on one side too & my hairdresser has told me that a fringe would not sit right. I'm so glad she told me. That is pretty poor kaiz

The consumer guarantee act covers hairdressers too, so if you are unhappy they are required to remedy any problems free of charge.
Consumer Guarantee
I always have problems, so now try to be very specific about what I want. When I went to a new one last week, all was going well until after when I went to pay and she went to charge me more then I was quoted when I made the booking. I quickly told her I had been quoted a different price, and she changed it but it annoyed me that she judged me and priced accordingly. The cut was crap too.

Well I did it, i called and she was good about it, she then said the woman I saw was retiring, which sounds really unlikely as she looked early 40's at the most.
Anyway they said they would fix it - I am going to be much firmer from now on with these things.
Had no idea about the consumer guarantees act though, good to know.
