Congrats T, you kept that quiet or I just didn't see it. |
Hi Becks, it wasn't intended to be quiet but I think it hasn't really left the March mummies thread. Kaela was born on Saturday 21 March at 8.45am (after having gone into labour just after 6am!! but having niggly contractions for the previous three days). I had almost no pain relief, which wasn't my choice but we were still waiting for my labour to properly establish when suddenly she was crowning LOL. She weighed in at 8lb9oz (I have no idea how, I only weighed 68kg the day before she was born!) and was 54.5cm - our 2nd tallest but our heaviest. She's very cute, seems pretty settled except when she has too much milk, and the girls absolutely love her. Only downside is that Briona is not fully well yet and Nathaniel has now caught what she has - cold sore virus (first time for both of them) meaning that their mouths are inflammed and full of mouth ulcers/cold sores inside the mouth. Nathaniel is having a fluids-only diet and even that hurts him. Thankfully Briona is now well enough to eat again.

CONGRATULATIONS on your little girl!! Sounds like things went really well with the labour 4th time round (good to know ).   Poor Briona and DH getting sick though!  That's a horrible horrible virus!  My DH had that when Rico was born and wouldn't go near me or Rico for a week.  Or if he had to in order to help me he would wear his surgical mask that he wore in the theatre when I was having Rico, so as to not pass on germs.  I hope the household is on the mend real quick! |

LOL thanks for brightening my day - that's hilarious! Man today has been hard, I think I got the baby blues and the sick-of-DH-being-sick (and at arms length) blues all at the same time! Looking forward to Kaela's night routine settling down soon (I hope)....

Hehe, glad I put a smile on your dial! I got a photo of Dh wearing his mask holding Rico too.  Everyone used to comment on it when they saw it, saying how funny it was.  But there was no way Dh wanted to pass that bug onto a newborn, nor me!   I hope things are better for you tomorrow, and DH can start helping out more. Just leave any of the kids mess and order takeaways for dinner! |

Congratulations T and N! And to the girls too!
With a labour like that... how many more kids are you planning? The next ones might just slip out |
