Ok I know I'm not really having an octopus, but lately it sure has felt like it !!!
And while I still think it's awesome that she's moving around so much in there and I don't mind it much, some of the movements feel... well, wierd !!
I mean, she's moving SO much more than a couple of weeks ago, I thought it would slow down just a little bit as she got bigger and there was less room ? I guess not.
One bonus is that I've started to be able to figure out which bits are which some of the time, although usually only when she's quiet.
Like I said, I'm not really complaining because I guess a lot of movement means she's probably pretty happy in there... but some of the sensations creep me out a bit and can occasionally be uncomfortable, not to mention when she decides to rest her foot / arse right up under my ribs !!
 *sigh* Anyway, rant over |

I had that exact same thing happen last night (foot/bum lodged in the ribs/lungs). I was killing time with my mum walking around the mall before we went to the midwife appointment. I felt this sudden movement and next thing I know it was horrid and painful! (first time it has ever happend too!) I thought to myself "breathe through it" but the deeper the breath the more it hurt! So I said to my bump (don't laugh!) "Move it or I'll get Kirsten (mw) to move it for you" within a few seconds it moved      ahhh such authority lol Hope it continues in the outside world lol

LOL that's funny Toni, the only werid movements i have experienced is when he decides to do big rolls out the side, it's so funny to watch. But i have never had him lodged in my ribs.

I did wonder briefly if she had company in there the other night becuase I felt like I was getting kicked and hit all over!!! My little girl loves to stuff feet in my bladder which is really startling. B actually saw me fair near levitate straight off my chair the other night and go cross eyed while letting out a startled screech! And that's only at 23.5weeks! |

Nat tries to tell me I'm having an elephant... some days it will feel like it - pokes and prods from 4 limbs and a trunk, and a couple of stabbing pains you'd swear were tusks!

Ooooo gosh I remember having the wriggliest squiggliest little worm in my belly. And like you Jax, everyone said the movements would slow down as she got bigger. But no.
Luckily she never did pop out any ribs but I quite frequently used to poke elbows and knees back into my belly (which she was never that impressed with!)
What she did do though was push her bum out the left hand side/front of my belly which ended up straining a muscle so much that it still hurts to touch now! arghhhhh
Anyway, you'll miss the kicks when they are gone |
