Topic: Breasts not sore, just sensitive Posted: 07 May 2009 at 7:49pm |
I'm hoping to get pregant with #2 in the next little while, although I'm still BFing and my period hasn't returned. However, I know that it's not impossible to get pregant before getting your period, 'cos ovulation occurs first.
This is probably all wishful thinking, but the past 2 days I have suddenly been much more aware of my breasts - my nipples in particular. They are not sore, but really sensitive - if they rub against anything they seem kind of charged. Like it's a nice (almost orgasmic?!) feeling My breasts just seem more firm and full too, although that could be my imagination.
Is this a possible sign of pregnancy? Has anyone else experienced this? Or is it more likely that my body is just trying to get its act together and get back to 'normal'?

Ha – I'm experiencing exactly (and I mean exactly) the same thing. I've googled it and sensitive nipples can be an early PG sign, it's just not as common as other symptoms like sore boobs, fatigue etc.
Here's hoping it is a sign for both of us!

Hmmm could be AF rearing its head? Or just ov?? I find I get fuller, firmer boobs when I get AF.
In saying that I get super sensitive nipples when I'm preggers

I usually get sore boobs a week out from AF. No sore boobs this month, just sensitive nipples which I've never noticed before. They also seem fuller and firmer, but that could just be my imagination, just as mountaingoat says.

When are you going to test Treen? I was wondering that when I was looking at your chart.
I had the ultra sensitive nipps before my last AF but everyones different. I remember when I was pg with DD10 I went out in the wind and had the sorest most painful nipps ever, took hours to warm them back up
In fact I had that same pain tonight while I was waiting for DH to light the fire but it went away quickly.. hmmm

Hey Tauris, tested yesterday and today and got BFNs. Still no sign of AF, though. You're testing tomorrow, aren't you? Good luck!

Looks like I'm out – temps dropped right down this morning. Sensitive nipples could just be a precursor to the sore breasts I normally get before AF. Let us know what happens in your case, though Mountaingoat. Good luck!
