Well, we are officailly residents of Gisdborne. The move went well, Nana came and picked up the kids while we packed the truck.    The journey took a little longer than we anticipated, mainly due to Jake throwing up. Luckily Super-Mum (me) had through to bring an extra set of clothing, so we cleaned him and changed him and he was actually much happier.
Moved in relatively well, and apart from having a sleepy boy for the first few days, everyone is fine and the stuff is moved in. Nana gave me "some" linen, which turned out to be the entire contents of her linen closet, so if anyone and their extended family turn up on the door steep, we have enough towels and sheets to accomodtae. No kidding, we have 32 towels and 24 sets of sheets.
On the bad side, our lounge suite is STILL not here, and there is a family of mice living under the house. They knawed through some of the elctrical cords andnow the washing machine needs an extension cord to go. The mice have also invaded the shed, which is a haven for cockroaches (none inside though!).
So I leave for Palmy on Saturday, for three weeks of teaching pratice and have left Lewis a rather long to-do list. ehehe.
Also, have set up Jake's room and it looks sooooo neat. Will take some pics and post them. UNforuntately he is yet to sleep in it, as I have not tackled the big bed thing - will wait til we return.

Glad to hear the move went well, Liz!

Good luck with placement, and with the transition to Big Boy's Bed.

Good to hear that the move went well Liz. Bit of a bugga bout the mice and cockroaches though, nasty little things they both are.

Good luck for your placement.

If you weren't in Gisborne you could have our spare couch - it's not flash but it beats sitting on the floor like you mentioned ! Mind you, I'm good at saying completely unhelpful stuff right at the moment

a bit adrift at the mo. everyone else is on week three of their second practice while I'm on day three of my first.   My associate forgets that I don't really know what to do and leaves me to my own devices a lot. scarey! and my school is a little...weird.
