Bubs has just got her 3rd tooth through (she's 7mths old) and the 4th tooth is on its way. She's formula fed, and for the past week we've really been struggling getting her to drink her bottle. We've tried swapping to a different bottle, but nothing seems to work. They all seem to hurt her, to the point that she's rather not drink her bottle at all, than be in pain. We've been using bonjela, but nothing seems to be working when it comes to her drinking her bottle. Tonight I had to syringe her milk into her mouth to get her to drink, and we also mixed her veges into a sloppy mix with her milk. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd love to hear your suggestions. Thanks.

Hey, how about pamol before bottle? or the weleda teething powder is really good. other than that you could try putting the milk in a cup, the sucking motion can be very painful for teething babies

Hi my bubs is 8 and a half months and has 1 tooth thru - as this one was coming thru we had the same problems bottles were a huge battle! Some days not even 500mls and she isn't having a lot of solids. I was really worried and rang Plunket who suggested mixing up custard powder with her formula - as this way she was still getting her formula I thought it was a brillant idea - next day the little miss went back to taking good bottles! However this is now a trick I will try next time which I have a feeling is just around the corner. Also yoghurt was a godsend too for us as she liked the coldness.
