Gosh I seem to be asking endless questions! Hope you all don't mind!
Whats everyones feelings on overtirness in babies? particually in newborns, my girl Im thinking as l'm earning is a shocker! I had to take her to her plunket app today, and she although looked like she was fine, absolutly lost it when we got home. I feed her before we left, and we wern't home to long before her next feed and then I had big trouble settling her, she slept for an hour and then it was her next feed. And havn't been able to settle her to sleep, I've managed to calm her down, but she just wont sleep, its appraching her next feed time, and when that happens, she will have been awake for 11hours!!! Help!!!!!???? Any clues, or suggestions as far as how to get her used to going out appart from just keep doing it?

Thanks!

Hiya, I found when my little man was that young, I just tried to keep my outings as short as possible until he was older. Sometimes, however it just wasn't possible and I'd let him go to sleep in the capsule while we were out. Also, if we had to go out, I always tried for the afternoon, as his morning sleep was always the longest and that helped. I hope you find what works for your daughter.

Sometimes you just have to do what you have to and start afresh tomorrow. Some does will be good and some will be shockers. It does get better.

And Plunket appointments are ALWAYS at the worst possible time no matter when you make them

Cuddles & rubbing her back to soothe her. Some say there is a fourth trimester where you still keep them close & cuddle them.

I found taking Cooper out & popping him in my moby wrap sent him off to sleep straight away. He was out 2x a day from 2 weeks with school drop offs & pick ups & would go straight to sleep in there regardless of if he was due his nap or not. Must be to do with the your heart beat.

Can plunket come to you?

I second the moby wrap - I have no qualms about leaving the house as shes always in the wrap. She's very inquisitive so has a good look around at everything then just crashes - and I know that she feels secure being so close to me. In fact I haven't used the pram in a long long time!

I third the moby (or other sling/wrap/carrier) recommendation! We have and Ergo and on days that Callum just wouldn't sleep I would put him in and go for a walk and as long as I was walking he would sleep. It was a lifesaver!!!

As nzpiper said, just do what you have to do and then start afresh tomorrow.

I agree, keeping bubs close to you is what i found worked best. though i found it was just a stage with my DD. Otherwise you could try a pram that lies fully flat and put in blankets from bubs bed so as it is familiar? Worth a try! Good luck
