Topic: Hey ladies Im back Posted: 06 June 2006 at 7:38pm |
Just wanted to tell you's all that i've had my lil bundle of joy. Dashone Victor Osikai. He was born on the 26th May after a 22hr labour. It was long but wasn't that bad. I had a long first stage cause i wasn't dialating so they gave me syntocinon.
The second stage was 17mins. His shoulders got stuck so my midwife started yanking the hell out of him trying to get him out and damn did it hurt. I felt every little thing cause i only had the gas.
I didn't feel the ring of fire or what ever its is. I can't quite explain the pain.
Anyway he weighed 9lb 4oz which was a shock to me cause i was only expecting him to be just over 8lb.
I didn't get to have him at the birth centre because i had to have syntocinon, but i did get transfered there for 1 night then back to the hospital we went cause he was breathing a bit faster than normal and they wanted to monitor him. We ended up staying in waikato womens for a week.
While i was in there i got some bad news that our house had burnt down. Well the garage anyway which is attached to the house. The fire went into the ceiling and the smoke spread through the whole house. All of our electrical appliances are ok but our clothes, lounge suite, beds etc are all smoke damaged so we had to throw it all away. At the moment we are in Auckland till we can find another house. We have to start from the beginning. But we will get there.

The fuse box caused the fire. My partner and his cousin were home and they got babies stuff out first.
Thank you nikki. We should be ok. Both our families are supporting us.
i will post a pic as soon as i get my computer up and running.
