My 15 mths old daughter has been having 2 bottles ( sometimes 3) every day for the past few months. Two days ago she started refusing her bottle, I put the milk in a sippy cup and she takes a sip ( thinking its water) and spits it out. I have tried a new can of formula, normal milk and even putting nesquik in it...! But no go

She is eating normally and asking for water . I am giving her cheese slices for the calcium and occasionally she will eat a few mouthfuls of yogurt if her big brother does..

Anyone else had this around this age? My son never had a bottle so I've no idea if they just one day refuse it, think its more the taste of milk thou..

Help please!

I weaned DD from breastfeeding at 15mths, and if it helps at all, plunket said it didn't matter much if she didn't have milk at all as long as she had yogurt and cheese etc.

I got her interested in milk in a straw cup by sitting with her on the couch and watching TV while she drank it - that helped. (Also I was in early pregnancy and needed a rest myself.. )

DD still doesn't have as much milk as other kids we know her age, but eats a lot of food.

My DD doesn't like the taste of milk either. We just make sure she eats cheese and yogurt to make up the calcium.
