Any sure fire way of getting stains out? Other than the sun?

After Coopers wonderful cappuccino poos his inserts are a tad stained. Now that he's pooing normally I'd like to get them a little whiter again like the new ones I have.

Is it just cause we've had a lack of sunshine & they'll whiten up over time or will I have to do something more?

I've always just used the sun (it works magically on Max's yellow bf poo stains!) but my mum swears by the frost too. We don't get a frost where we are but Mum says it always worked on her old-fashioned white squares
