Topic: Lemon Detox Diet Posted: 07 August 2009 at 2:59pm |
Has anyone tried this?
What were your results like?
Did you feel 'sensational' as they say!?
I have heard good & bad stories and I have the detox pack sitting on my kitchen bench... Wondering if I should bother with it?

I read that article and then read the comments below and saw a woman raving about it!
That is the sort of conflicting opinions I am getting! ha ha
I think I might give it a go staring on Monday. If I dont like it I will stop it.

I can see why people would lose weight doing it, I just about threw up 3 times trying to drink the first glass!
Only 1.8 litres to go!

I have done it twice.
First time I did it for 5 days and lost 3.5kgs and it stayed off for about 6 months. Second time I did it I lost 2kgs but I couldn't stand the headaches I got when I did it the second time around.
DH did it with me too and he lost 7kgs and it has stayed off, infact he has lost even more since doing it!
The drink was fine for me, it was the salt water drink that made me dry reach eery morning!!
I definately felt better for it, but then again tell me someone that doesn't feel good when they loose a couple of kgs lol!!!
Good luck!

At night you drink a herbal tea that acts as a laxative.
First thing in the morning you drink 1 litre of salt water to clean out your system.
Then all you can "eat" (well drink) is the syrup they provide, mixed with water and lemon juice and a little bit of cayanne pepper for taste.
The drink is meant to fill you up so you don't feel hungry.
Basically you don't eat anything for a week, mentally it is a blimmin hard thing to do!
How was day One Parki?

BLEGH!
I lasted one day and I have had to stop.
I had just gotten rid of my tonsolitis when I started yesterday and now the drink (cayenne pepper) has flaired it up again.
I'm going to have to wait until I am fully healthy again to start as you can't take any antibiotics while on it.
Oh well, might start again next Monday

Oh, I didn't realise it was a weight loss thing, I thought it was a detox. That doesn't sound sustainable at all! (and it sounds gross)

It is a detox, the added benefit is weight loss
Its not actually as bad as it sounds!
Stink Parki, oh well try again next week! That pepper does start to burn your throat a bit after a few days though.

I have heard about this, has anyone tried the Scared Heart Diet. At least you eat food hehe.
I am going to try it, when I get back into running again so I don't end up with loose skin.
