I've called three lovely ladies, and they were all booked up. I'm getting a tad worried now.

If anyone here can give me a name and number of a MW who might have room for me, I'll love you forever

I'm in Avondale in West Auckland btw, and rely on public transport.

Call Mama Maternity on 815 8108 and they will post you out a list of midwives in your area for you to call.

I'm with baby on the way midwives, all three are really fantastic they are in new lynn at the doctors just down from the mall.

You could try The Midwives on Godley Rd in Green Bay Ph 825 0333, there are 8 mws there so hopefully someone will be free. I had Glenda who is absolutely wonderful. SIL had Kirsten and she was great, a friend had Terri who was also great. Carly is also an accupuncturist and I saw her during pg and she was wonderful. So I am sure you would be in great hands

I had HUGE trouble getting m/w and found those I rang unfriendly and not nice. At the end I went with Akl Hospital - the Hospital has to take you - and LOVED it
I didn't think twice about going back with them when I got pregnant the second time
