Topic: Severe Irritation Posted: 13 June 2006 at 1:18pm |
I know that everyone has moods when they are hormonal - but I find I am really getting peeved very quickley. Particularly with my boss at work. He used to irritate me a bit, well sometimes more than a bit, but now I just want to kill the man! I honestly cant stand him and my temper is so short that everything that comes out of his mouth just irritates me!
I am hating coming to work because every day I find myself having to control the urge to throw something at him...am I the only one like this?

You are not alone. I know how you feel with your hormones - some days I feel exactly the same way with my boss too and I have found that I tend to get upset very easily these days and can cry at the drop of a hat. Unfortunately there isn't really a lot we can do about it

Hmmmm me thinks you have the same Boss as me!
I "put up" with his pedanticness (is that a word?) for ages when I was at the "teary and hormonal" stage as I have never been one for scenes, now I'm at the "you're breathing just to annoy me" stage (mostly due to lack of sleep), so I let him have it with both barrels this morning when he had the NERVE to ask me to photocopy a whole heap of documents we had finalised last night just because he wanted to swap two words around, then the copier broke and I had to put each bit of paper on the screen, then staple them all by hand!
I said to him that it was a terrible waste of resources for such a minor amendment and a waste of my time as it took over an hour to copy 20 4-page documents when I was supposed to be finishing off a major project before I start my maternity leave in 2 weeks! *breathes*
So, NO - it's not just you

Yup i'm with you on this one. There is one particular person who I used to find mildly irritating but tolerable because I have to. I am now getting to the point where having to spend any amount of time with her is a major irritation. Every little thing she says or does makes me want to yell at her, I'm even having dreams about doing just that! I so hope it goes away once baby arrives otherwise I'm in trouble

At least you get to leave the person who irritates you... Kiya is getting on my nerves so much at the moment! I have to keep saying to her "Mummy's in a grumpy mood, so it might be a good idea to leave her alone right now!" or I'll spend the next few hours telling her off every time she breathes loudly, poor girl!

Yep - people breathing loudly annoy me - well, almost everything annoys me. Thankfully I'm not working through this pregnancy..I'm not sure if I could have survived with the colleagues I used to have!

I rekon expecting a baby makes it really hard to appreciate our jobs if we used to, as well... well, I've found that my little wee job that I loved to bits I just can't wait to see the end of now. It's not that the job has changed, it's just that I don't care much about it at all now, and it's in the way of my baby mobile-making and tiny clothes gathering and all!
And I hate our new neighbours - very close to our house and they're freaks (in my opinion, not anyone elses - hubby just thinks they're hoons!)... drunken inconsiderate people who regularly come home smashed in the wee hours and wake the neighbourhood up and keep their curtains closed up tight all day - if they even looked at me funny now I think I'd hiss and throw rocks at them! I was sad enough to leave a "maybe you don't realise you're waking the entire neighbourhood each night but noone appreciates it" anonymous note in their letterbox... cranky, but too chicken to REALLY take it out on them!!
