I told DP about my appointment and subsquent D&C a few days ago. I thought he was coming with me as usually I will say if doesn't need to be there.

My D&C is tomorrow and he says to me tonight 'oh I have to be at work early tomorrow.' I am so angry with him. He seems to find time to leave work early to pick up his daughter a couple of nights a week, he'll take time off to show up at lawyers meetings for his divorce but for something as huge as this he leaves me alone and basically says I'll pick you up when you are done.

God I'm so angry right now I could scream

You are not wrong to be angry, you need his support, whether he wants to run away and bury himself at work or not!

Hi all,
I'm feeling a lot better after the D&C.

I had to walk past an anti-abortion protester on the way to the hosptial complete with pictures of fetus with the words 'thanks mum' for me to look at. Instead of being upset I went absolutely ballistic at him for not even bothering to consider that there were likely a fair few women walking into greenlane with dead but very-much wanted babies in their bellies who didn't need that kind of sh*t in the darkest hours. Some people really have no idea.

DP came and got me after numerous frantic calls to my cell and I'm glad he did.

Hi lemongirl
Hope things went well today and you're doing ok - jsut wanted to say you have every right to be cross! My bub's dad can't come up to see me cause he doesn't have a wof on his ute - never mind i'm in the process of m/c-ing. Talk about hopeless. Am so cross and dissappointed in him! They just dont seem to get it.

Hi Lemongirl

This is my first ever post but friends told me that the forums were useful....

I had my 1st dnc a week ago and it was my 2nd miscarraige as 1st was natural and I fully needed my partner there for support and would have felt hurst and angry if he did not want to come.

Like you i feel really angry at the moment and am trying to find strategies to help with it, i have been walking a lot and i have a couple of close friends whom have checked in with me every couple of days to see how im going which is nice.

I hope it all went ok with you and he has since been more supportive.
