Sorry, I did do a search but didn't really find anything that helps.

I am getting braxton hicks ALL the time. They are really starting to wear me down and I just wanted to know if anyone else experienced anything like this. I'm not sure if it is "normal" or whether I need to be worried. Anyway I have been getting them since probably around 19 weeks and in the last week or so they have steadily started getting more and more frequent. The past couple of days have been really bad, I'm honestly getting at least 50 or more a day. And it feels a bit crampy and I am starting to ache in my lower back when I have them. So anyway at 9.30 this morning, I thought I would moniter how often I get them and it is now 10.08 and I have had 10 ranging from 3 to 6 minutes apart. Can someone please tell me this is ok and not to worry??????

I have been told if you get them regularly like you are to call your midwife and tell her.

I would call my midwife personally...

i hope you feel better soon

Call your midwife. She won't mind. And she won't grumble at you for calling. And if she does, tell her off - it's what she's there for and you're not bothering her.

You can ask to be hooked up to a monitor for a while (usually half an hour or so) - it's a belt they stick around your bump and can measure the contractions and if they are annoying bubs.

Oh - and you're okay and don't worry (you asked someone to tell you that). But you will feel a lot better after your midwife has investigated things.

I have been gettign them often too Kelly - some days I find are pretty bad, but then some days I hardly notice. I was a bit worried too after I had a few days in a row of constant uncomfortable BH, but then on about the third day when I was about to call the midwife they seemed to settle down? And by the way I also get uncomfortable back crampy things from time to time with them too!
I am SURE you are ok, and I am sure baby will be in there for ages to come, but like the others said, a call to you midwife will probably be good just for your own re-assurance, the most important thing is that you are relaxed. A nice relaxed happy mummy's tummy is the best feeling for baby!
Let us know how you get on as I was wondering how many are normal myself (I read on a website it is normal to get one every 20 minutes? I remember thinking that I was sure I have had more than that from time to time? Cant remember where I read it though?)
Good luck!
