Sugarbaby - hang in there!!!!!
I'm on my 2nd cycle and both times my follicles have been REALLY slow to develop. In my first cycle I ended up with 7 scans before they were the right size! I have a scan tomorrow too, so hopefully we are both seeing some growth. GL

Sugarbaby that's great news. I'm sure they'll just keep growing for you. I had my collection this morning, and we managed to get 6 eggs, find out tomorrow how many fertilise - eeek!
Hope this morning's scan went well and you might even be collecting on Wed??

Hi, FYI last cycle I got 9 eggs, 8 fertilised, 3 grew on to blastocyst. I think 6 is good (initially it looked like we only had 2), it's not as many as I would have liked but "you only need one" (I'm so over hearing that I must say).
My specialists are happy to go through to pick up with only 3 follicles, apparently it's not the quantity but the quality and there's some research to say that less follicles = better quality. I hope you get really good eggs from your follicles. Roll on Thursday, you'll just about be finished the injections - yay!!
I might have my transfer on Thursday, am just waiting to hear so it could be a big day for both of us.
BTW I've taken today off work too. My boss has been pretty good but I do feel really guilty with all the time off. This collection has been worse with cramps than the last, so I'm glad I'm not at work. In saying that I'm doing work from home and I'd better get on and get started!!!!!

Yes, am also overhearing "you only need one" :)
Will let you know how Thursday pick up goes, and like wise please let me know how your transfer goes!
My boss had IVF for her last baby, and is a great source of knowledge, but there gets to a point where understanding turns to frustration :) I am her nanny, and she kinda needs more than a few days notice to get a temp in!
fingers and toes crossed

How'd the pick up go? Hope you got a couple of little eggs which they can fertilise for you
My transfer eventually went well, and have 2 little embies 'in there' ........ ahh. Have just joined in to the 2ww thread again, it's such a laugh there.
Keep in touch!

Hey Tischler
So happy to hear your transfer went well!!!
Pick up went well too, actually really well. Not too much pain and recovered quite quickly. I just wanted to leave, but they made me wait around :) Doctors....
They got 5 eggs, which i thought was pretty good, as i didn't have many large folicules, but we will see tomorrow how many embies we get. Totally jealous now, wish they would put two back in me, but i am only allowed one :)
But as they say, "you only need one"
Hope to see you on the 2ww thread on Sunday or Tuesday...

Yay sugarbaby, great to get 5 eggs after all you've been through. They only agreed to put 2 back for me since I've had such problems getting them to stick - hopefully not this time!
At least with only one you will have more options for frozen transfers depending on how many fertilise and grow on.
Keep me posted
