As I recall Couplands only sell their food in the South Island.

mmmmmmmmmm yummy! The main Couplands Bakery in CHCH is just down the road from my house....... might have to do a wee trek down there later!! Nom nom nom. The Apricot ones are delish!! This may be a dumb questions but are Rumballs OK when pregnant? I assume they actually have rum in them? lol I dunno, blond moment.....

I wouldnt think there would be that much rum in them and I would think a lot of the alcohol would burn off while cooking.. butr I am quite tired and not thinking clearly so could be wrong LOL

lisa I think you will find it is probably a rum essance otherwise like melnel said if it is real rum it would only be a little bit so will be fine

I know when we made rum truffles it was an essance but at the hotel we used real rum, and not the rum itself wasnt heated as it was poured over the sponge filling and only the condensed milk and butter were heated, but once again it wasnt too much rum, just enough to taste

Lisa - Ive emailed couplands about the 'rum' if its real rum or essence. I also asked them if they do 1/2 and 1/2 containers of truffles and also if we could buy them not in the jar
will let you know what they say when they reply
