Topic: I am so over it but.... Posted: 17 November 2009 at 8:12pm |
don't know how too stop!!
There is a certain person in my life who is totally doing my head in. She is manipulative, selfish, a total cow, and the list goes on. She has what I want most in this world and yet she doesn't want it. Unfortunately for me she is part of the family and I can't not see her but she does things and is doing things that are destroying family relationships and I can't do or say anything as then it will be me doing the destroying. The really sad thing is that although she has one thing that I really want I have a much better life. I have a husband who loves me a little boy who I love immensely and am probably over-all happier but for some reason it just really does my head in
Sorry for the rant but I have no-one else to talk too

There is someone in my life who I would much rather avoid too. I try to stay away as much as poss (simple when I live overseas lol) and usually try really hard not to get into conversations about them. They are toxic and totally not worth my effort in thinking about them.
You're human Don't feel bad!

I think we all have someone like that in the family. What is it she has & you don't & want?
I have someone in the family who has what I thought was the perfect life & if I was a jealous person it would be her I would have been jealous of...but I found out she is not that perfect & sometimes I think she is a bit envious of me.
She blows a bit hot & cold, so I can not let my guard down or she has a tendency to rub it all in my face

Sooo been there before. Luckily mine wasn't a family member so I could cut all ties.
Does DH see it as you do, or is he on the familys 'side' so to speak? That can always complicate things.

I am lucky as DH can't stand this person and totally hates how much it eats at me. There is a whole long back story and so we are both over it.
Jazzy another kid (or more). I know I have Alex and am extremely lucky to have him (getting pregnant is not an easy thing for me) but I have always wanted kids, I mean really wanted, and the fact that it's so easy for some people to have them even though they don't actually want them is pretty upsetting too me.

So hear what you are saying, thought I would never have more DS2 took years & then a m/c at 12weeks, so gave up trying then fell pg 3mths later. I have fallen pg only when I don't keep a record of anything so did not know till around 5-6wks. So good luck with that, I am sure it will happen again, don't give up just try & relax (I know easy to say)
My trick for how I cope with the 1 in my family is to cut her off when she starts going on about how great she & her life is & then draw out the problem she comes up with. I cut her off in mid sentence & say omg you just reminded me...& then talk about sh*t.
But then there are the time when she is so nice & does nice stuff so I let my guard down, then she does something to upset me.

Sounds like the relationship with someone in my family....we kind of do it to each other though. We are both daughter in laws to two of three sons, so I guess it's a little bit of rivalry
