exersizing? I know I shouldnt be saying this but i have done bugger all exersize and I am wondering if this is going to be a problem - with working full time I leave at 7.30 and get home at 6.30 and it is just too cold to go out and walk at that time for me - plus I am a bit lazy too ofcourse...
Am I a very bad minority or are there others like me who know they shoudl be wlaking or doing somehting regularly but just dont find the time and/or the will to do so?

I go for short daily walks for around 30 minutes but can't go for much longer because of having to go to the loo. I go to a weekly pregnancy yoga class which has been helpful. Does housecleaning count as exercise cause I do plenty of that ha ha. I would like to do more but I am also finding it a little cold to get out there and do more. I am thinking of starting aqua aerobics shortly but am a little shy to go with my current swimwear - may have to go and buy a new swim outfit ha ha

I don't as much this pregnancy baby is so low now I can hardly walk around the house let alone up and down hill's, but when i was preggy with Alan I was walking right up till even after my due date (he was late). Of course it was also summer. I really don't think it is that important maybe try something in the weekend's even it is jsut short walk's around the shop's in town.

I feel guilty about not excercising every day,...but thats as far as I get!
I am not able to do more than a few hours of anything before I am completely drained (I had to leave wk at 20 weeks), but I do think I could prob manage a wee walk at least! I go to the pool about once a week, and walk up and down, and kinda splash around and pretend to swim for about an hour. I too have swimwear issues,..my bump is about to explode outta my swimming togs. Hubby thinks I should just wear my bikini,..but I dunno,...there is mostly old people at the pool when I go and they might be funny about seeing a preggy belly hanging out. Plus my bikini tops arent exactly suppostive, and have a habbit of slipping down,..or off!

I felt crap through the first 4 months in pregnancy. I did try to exercise but I didnt last long.

I started carrying lot of fluid, and felt yuk. I now walk only two times a week and have noticed a difference in the way I feel. I only do low impact walking. Feel much better in myself now.

hehe ah no, I have'nt done any excercising at all.Im so terrible, I just feel really horrible everyday. Others tell me that excercising would probably make me feel better but I just wish they knew how I felt! Lately Ive hardly been able to even walk around the house but have just managed to do that. Im going to focus more on getting into a walking routine once bubs arrives....fingers crossed I keep my word lol

oh good I'm not as lazy as I thought I was

Kelly - Just a thought, but have you had your iron store levels checked? I was always feeling really bleugh at around your stage and just put it down to pregnancy stuff - midwife checked my bloods and put me on some tablets and I felt much better within a week. I know how miserable and tired I was all the time so I can sympathise

I'm also promosing myself that I'll excercise when bubs is here...weight watchers breast feeding programme, walking everywhere....the works....I'm figuring it will be easier then than now when I'm carrying all this extra weight!

We got our pushchair last night out of Mum & Dad's shipping container and Dad was reading the book that came with it, he said "it says here you can jog whilst pushing it too" whilst looking at me suspiciously over the top of his glasses Daddy knows me so well heheheh

LOL... if chasing a toddler counts (especially before they run out onto the road!) then yes, I exercise...

otherwise? It doesn't reach a POSITIVE temperature until 8:30, and the frost doesnt' go before 10am... if the day is going to be warm enough to reach double figures then that's not going to happen before lunch time... and Josiah sleeps best in his own bed. Well, that's my excuses and I'm sticking to them!

Hi Frantic, I'm the same as you! Work full time, and when I get home from work, I'm just to tired to do anything (or lazy - whichever way you choose to look at it!)

Sometimes go for a short walk on the weekends, if the weather obliges, but thats about my limit...

Did anyone happen to see the 'Dragons Den' last night (T.V1 ) it had women who had a pregnant fitness programme (in Aussie) but have released DVDs. looked kinda funny but suppose it was working, it mostly looked like it involved bouncing on a swiss ball. Just thought I'd mention it when I saw this thread

I have been! Not to the extent I did pre-preg but I find it helps with my energy levels and keeping things regular

Working full-time sure doesn't leave any sunshine hours at this time of year to get outside after work though! So, me and 2-3 other ladies from work have been doing a 40min walk every lunch time as long as it isn't raining. It's been great these last couple of weeks with sunshine every day Nice to get out of the office for awhile too. Saturdays and Sundays I to try to do about an hour. I have an exercycle at home which I have used but it is so uncomfortable on the pelvis/lower back/tail bone

DH has a swiss ball and it is so nice to sit on at night to stretch, takes all the pressure off your lower back!
