I think i might have this.

I have a massive headcold - but more so steming from my blocked nose - although runny at the same time! When I get snot out - and I really didn't realise one nose could produce so much snot! It is Yellow in colour. i have googled it (alhtough hate to google cause its not always your best friend) and looks like i have all the symptoms of a Sinus Infection.

So for those who have had one when pregnant what did you do or take.

I have some Maxiclear tablets (son gets hayfever) but it says to seek medical advise when pregnant - do you think ringing the health line could answer me if I asked if its sAfe?

Any idea or things that worked to make you feel better cause right now my head feel like its on another planet!

Yup ring healthline. You could try a sinus rinse too which should help, it has salt, baking soda and water in it but I can't remember how much of each sorry!! I think it's 1/2 t of the powders into 1c warm water.

I'm currently on antibiotics for mine. With a sinus infection, it also hurts along my jaw and my back teeth. The doctor was reluctant to prescribe saying I'd probably get well just as fast on my own, but a week down the track I'm still not back to normal. However, once I saw green colour I knew it was an infection rather than a cold.

In the meantime, I find heat helps, and panadol. A wheatpack/hot flannel over my cheeks/teeth is good. For breathing help, I just use a steam inhalation. Doctor said to use Vicks/eucalyptus, but it burns my throat too much. Also using Otrivine nasal spray with menthol, but apparently most of the other types are out. The sinus rinse only works for me in the beginning or at the end, otherwise the pressure is so intense it feels like the top of my head will blow off.

I used sinusmed by naturpharm. BUT don't know if you can use it if you are pregnant.

Itchyfeet sounds like what I am feeling like. I went to the chemist and got some sinus nasal solution and used it - yup it clear alot of yellow snot - heaps of it - and for about half and hour it was clearish but now its all back again.

I got some pregnancy vits (elevit) and will boost my system hopefully. I also did the head over steaming hot water with eculyptus (sp) stuff in it - which made me feel ok but still that headache lingers on.
