thanks to the lovely ladies here i have a few recipes that i am going to use to make truffles for xmas.

i was just wondering does anyone know if i can make them now and freeze them until xmas or do i have to make them the day before? i will be making some with cream cheese in them.

they freeze well...and taste pretty good straight from the freezer too.

My problem is I want to give truffles as presents and I need to send them to north island....and then NOT have people leave them under their trees.

maybe you could put a note in with them saying to open the present straight away as it will not keep well under the tree.

Depends on the ingredients - however you would store the most perishable ingredient is how you store and how long you store the truffles (eg if they have cream in them you keep them in the fridge)

the ones I make are crushed biscuits, fruit mince (some of them) butter, condensed milk and flavour
