Ok me too! There is Rachel McTavish, she works in Jville in the bit where you go to get your bloods taken. Her number is 478 1526 but she's on holiday until after New Years so prob best to call her after that. She's my back up midwife and was also my MIL's mw with her last kid. Plus her husband is a diabetes nurse should you have any problems there, fx you don't! (MIL's last kid has diabetes).

My mw is Michelle Vincent from the Ngaio Medical Centre, she's great, her number is 027 2295 241.

I'm sure some of the other northern suburb mums and mums to be will be able to help too... You could try asking in their meet up forum...

I recommend 'Birth Options'. Their pager number is: 026 111 575.

My midwife is Victoria Panteleeva and I find her very professional and thorough. I highly recommend her. I think a few of the midwives are currently on holiday til New Years too, so maybe calling mid-January would be a good time or else you could just call anytime and let them know you need a midwife, so when they get back they can give you a call.

They work from Aotea Pathology in J'ville, which is above the Johnsonville Medical Centre. Which works out well, especially when you need to get any tests, as it's the same place. And they have about 7 midwives that work for them and they are all lovely.
