Aww MB I can't believe you're back at work going through that. I can understand wanting to take your mind off it, but when those clots come it's damn horrible, the feeling in themselves was enough to make me want to cry- not that they were painful, but just eugh I don't know, gross perhaps. It is awful when you're still pg even after a m/c, and it sucks that you have to experience all of the symptoms still. I think that may be why i'm still feeling tired and a little nauseas this week even though af has come and now gone (as of today). Did I read somewhere also, I think it was a comment from someone else, that you are rhesus negative? I am too.
I think I am going to start taking an additional B6 vitamin to my prenatals too, conception doesn't seem to be my problem, but implantation. Which kind of sucks because then IUI or IVF would be fruitless. Is there anything else that could be done?

Wow LA we are like parallel sisters! I too have no problem with conception, but implantation/carrying seems to be the problem. Which B6 are you taking, and what will that do? I wonder if you should pm Shezzey and ask her to email you the links she sent me today about NK cells and immunology. Or pm me your email addy and I can forward it to you?
Have you had antibody screening lately? How many mc's have you had - from what my friend Claire tells me, the one studying all of this stuff as she is a blood nurse, we should have the screening done after EVERY pregnancy, esp as we are rhesus negative, and especially if our DH or DP are positive...
Do you sometimes think we know more than the experts, just cause we take the time to talk to others, and to do research on the web?

I think I am able to be back at work cause I kinda knew this 'might' happen, I have work for the rest of this week but next week I only have to work for 3 days (bonus of being a self-employed temp, I can pick and choose my days to 'some' extent) plus we have a game-plan now because we can conceive naturally and aren't relying on doctors to tell us when we have to do an IUI etc (sometimes not being able to cause I have had too many follicles thanks to clomid), and also not being on the roller-coaster of fertility drugs as they really knocked me round.
Ooooh I just found 4 Ov test strips in the bathroom cupboard, and the digital OV tester in my bedside drawer - these suckers cost about $70 and I was getting them free from Repromed... might have to ask for some more when I go to the specialist, I think their charge, if applicable, is $15. Not that I think they are much use to me if I ov two days prior to the damn things showing me a positive!

Hi girls
I thought I might join you in this thread Maebeebaby great idea to start a thread for those of us ttc;in after m/c. I have been following your posts recently and was sad to see you have m/c'd again MB, I understand your loss and frustration.
Lostamber & Hila I am so sorry that you have both m/c'd as well, it sucks big time. I hope that your next pregnancies are the ones that stick.
Well Im not very good at putting whats in my head down on paper but will try and tell you my story, for those that don't know.
Me (40) and DH (37) have been ttc'in for approx 2 years now. Our first +ve was in July 08, it was a sixty odd day cycle and I had given up taking my temps cause I was getting so frustrated at the length of my cycle. I m/c'd naturally 2.5 weeks after my +ve. I got my next +ve on 14th September, it was the very next cycle. I was very excited about this pregnancy and had a good feeling about it, my hcg's were doing what they should and were up at the 50,000 level. We went off to the gold coast for a holiday for about ten days and when we came home were very excited to go to our scan at about 9 weeks. And at that scan there was a perfect little baby with no heart beat measuring 8.5 weeks, we were gutted
Two weeks later I had to go over to the hospital for a d&c. My next pregnancy was a total surprise in May 09 just as we were about to start IUI treatment with FA in Hamilton. This pregnancy I m/c'd approx two weeks after our +ve, as this was our third FA got us a review apptmnt straight away as we now were finally diagnosed with recurrent miscarriages. It totally sucks that they won't investigate until you have had three, although because of my age they had already started some of the testing.
So now we have had all of the tests and nothing comes back with any concrete reason whey we are m/c'in all the time. It could be my eggs, and DH has morphology issues and they have now put me on low dose aspirin because I guess it can't hurt and there could be a blood clotting issue that hasn't shown in the tests. At the initial scan when you have your first appt with FA it was discovered I have polycystic ovaries, so that makes ovulating regularly more difficult for me.
Since the last m/c in May we have done three monitored clomid cycles all bfn's, one unsuccessful IUI with clomid and gonal f. And now we are doing a couple of natural cycles over xmas and it is really nice to forget about all the drugs and scans and needles etc... for a wee while anyway. Pheewww that was long.
Where to from here, we are going to one more IUI and after that IVF is our only other option to try other than continuing to try naturally. We feel that time is against us but we will continue to try for at least a couple more years, and hopefully we will get there in the end.
Maybeebaby I have a couple of geegees too, I will try to post a pic of them, they are 17 & 19 so are in semi retirement but we still ride them on the farm and they love all the attention they get. I love my appy's
lol sorry about the novel

Appy's Chart CD 2
Maebeebaby CD 4
Trying's chart CD 5
Hila1's chart CD 6
MrsHopeful's chart CD27 - 7 DPO
Shezzey for some reason when I try to update this list, it won't bring the blinkies over it just shows the writing for them when I preview the updated post, and I was only removing the quotes from each end. Any ideas, it seems to work when only you bring it forward.

I too had trouble with the blinkies.
Wow Appy you are going through it all too huh.
Something you wrote made me want to comment though, about the aspirin - I have recently read that on its own, aspirin does nothing. It needs to be accompanied by heparin. I think it's on one of the links on my blog, but can't be certain? Anyway, may pay to check with your doctor.
I have found an article in a magazine called 'Making Babies' which was a $9.95 one-off I found in Paper Plus a few months ago. There is an article in it called "I've Got Killer Cells" and honestly, It is like reading about me - the lady went through the same things as I have have (recurrent mc's, through natural conception and fertility clinic), and she started jumping up and down DEMANDING tests for NKC. I am convinced I need these tests. Today I am going to photocopy this article and write a letter to my specialist, who I am seeing on the 18th January. I want the tests done for NKC, and they need to be done between day 25 and 30 of my cycle. This will give him time to book me in, because when I see him I think it will be Day 18 of my cycle. The treatment for NKC seems fairly simple - a steroid called Clexane, and for some it is accompanied by aspirin and heparin.
I will try to scan this article also, and put a link on my blog to it sometime this week.

Haha... yeah it does look good but I doubt very much there will be a baby for me this month. We aren't trying.......I must admit we did 'forgot' about protection about 3 days before I ov.....which is naughty I know but FF are telling me the chance of pg is low. I hope its low because I've been having a great old time on the wines and cheese and whatever else you should'n't do in the TTW. Be good to go through a normal cycle this month.
Its really nice to see some other older (but not that old ) girls in this thread. I have just turned 37 so constantly worry I am running out of time. I guess you just have to take what life throws at you and deal with each thing has it happens.
Have a lovely day girls!

Awww thanks trying. I sincerely hope for you that you only ever have the one m/c and that you will be UTD very soon
Something that I also noticed we have in common MB & LA is I am also RH-, my hubby is + so it means I need the anti d after m/c. Hmmm only had it after the dnc. My research & my specialist tell me this shouldn't cause early m/c's but that it can affect baby later in the pregnancy.
I am off to hunt out the lists of all the blood work we have had done, and will bbl to see if they are similiar.
Hope everyone is having a lovely day

Sorry, just lurking... You can get a BT to see if you have formed the antibodies with the Rh-/+ve thing... Im -ve and my DH is +ve, I got the AntiD when I MC at 6 and a half weeks, but when I went to A and E this time at 6 and a hlaf weeks with bleeding they wouldnt give it to me... So my MW got me tested and it was negative (thank goodness), so if you are worried they can see if you have formed the antibodies already (gosh that was long winded huh! (I hope it made sense?))

I am also RH- as well. Had the anti D jab after my m/c at 7 weeks and then I had to have it again last time as there was confusion as to weather I was pg or just had left over hormones from my previous m/c.
Good to know you can get tested for the antibodies though, I have had concerns about this as well.

Yes DH is positive here too. Have had them after my m/c's but from what I read recently, it is most likely that it is only our blood in that first trimester anyway
I am having a bit of a rotten day today. I'm irritable, tearful, angry, and just being stubborn. I've come off my meds cold turkey, and refused to eat anything today too. I don't know why, just in a funk. I walked into a tattoo parlour too and priced up what I want. Was going to get it done today due to my reckless mood, but realise I have bills to pay and no income until I find a job now (not that the money I do have is enough to cover all of my bills anyway) *cries*

Oh LA... !!!
What meds have you stopped taking?
I was in that kind of mood yesterday LA...
Today I have been really busy - I had to work but I wasn't busy there - so I got surfing. Before close of business today I had successfully contacted via email the secretary of Dr Gavin Sacks who is the Natural Killer Cell expert, at IVF Australia. He is also a recurring miscarriage specialist. He has agreed to do a phone consultation with us if we don't get any further with Repromed! I am absolutely convinced I am on the right track.

Awesome Shezzey, where are we going wrong with the blinkies BTW?
LA, this is why I 'created' this thread, as I really wanted somewhere we us mc'ers could all come with something in common, and try to help each other find out the why's and what's about our mc's... and even if we don't, just to simply vent to others in the same situation, well that all helps huh.
