Hi All

I stopped taking the Yasmin pill on 1/12/09 and didn't have any issues. My Husband and i started TTC the wk before xmas, a couple of days before new years i started feeling PG symptoms (extreme tiredness, slight cramping, brownish discharge, dizzy, increased appitite, really emotional, pee all the time and boobs seemed different).

Last tues a light AF came (3days worth), the symptoms decreased but in the last couple of days they've come back strong (accept discharge). I'm now tired from about 1pm, have trouble keeping my eyes open that they hurt. My boobs and areola are bigger, with bigger bumps around the nipple.

Even though i had some bleeding, could it be possible that i'm still PG? Or could they be symptoms from coming off the pill?

I'm really lost here, the symptoms aren't going away and i'm sick of being tired/dizzy. Suggestions please??

My main pg symptoms from ovulation to testing were shortness of breath, tiredness, weird cramping/pain in uterus and extreme hunger/nausea in mornings. It was the shortness of breath that led me to suspect that I was finally preggers.

Have you done a test? It could be just extreme pms but may be best to get a blood test to be sure. It's really the only way to find out

This is where Charting comes in handy. I had a cycle just as you describe (without bleeding or discharge) and included hurling in the car as I drove to work! I wasn't pregnant and was absolutely shocked that I wasn't cause the symptoms were reminiscent of my other pregnancies. So the following month I started Charting, the ladies in the Charting thread explained (very patiently) to me how to interpret my chart day-by-day, and I was able to pinpoint my exact day of Ov and also my exact day of implantation. And I fell pregnant (although have since mc'd).

I would recommend you Chart, then you can see what is happening throughout the month with your body, and get to know it better.

Thanks for the advice, i have thought about charting but i don't want it to rule my life and stress me out. The reason i asked the question was because i've never had these symptoms before in all the many years i've had AF. I'm normally like clock work and i know the symptoms i get ever month.

I'm planning on going to the doc this week and just have a check up, the tiredness/dizzy spells and shortness of breath are not good.

i have now done 3 test with no answers.

Hmmm it's not charting that will rule your life and occasionally stress you out - TTC can do that all by itself!

I think that's a good idea re the doc. Good luck :)

weren't you on the pill though until last month?? the pill forces ya body to work like clockwork (even I had 28 day cycles on BCP LOL) going off that can send ya cycles crazy for awhile and change ya hormones... the symptoms may be a result of the hormonal changes your body is undergoing getting back to normal... hopefully ya bfp isn't to far away!!!

i too was on the pill for a year, and then for 5 months after it i had perfect 27 day cycles. then i had one crazy out of wack one. they've sort of settled down now into 26 day cycles. i think it was the pill that made them so perfect before - i never had any spotting or anything. i'm assuming i wasnt really fertile during those 5 months, but who knows!

i have only once had a chemical pregnancy, and i never thought i would "know" so much that something was up. i had a headache that wouldnt go away, and was drinking about three times as much water as usual. i had back pain, and just felt sick. i was super tired, and super cranky. then i had the heaviest period i had ever had, full of clots and all sorts. i was confused because i was sure i had finally gotten pregnant. so i took a HPT that day anyway, and sure enough it was positive. baby just didnt want to stick. i never have period pain either, but i had it with this period.

See what the doctor says today.

I've previously been off the pill while my hubby was going through chemo, and i never had any issues or had different length cycles.

ok, at first she thought i could have some sort of an infection or glandular fever but after a few tests (incl. bloods) all was normal.

She said it could be the pill or the anixous wait of getting pregnant. Since then i have the old dizzy spell and tired as per normal. I'm doing my best to not thing about getting pregnant and just letting nature take it's course.
