My 2nd hand fuzzis are leaking big time!

I am thinking the elastic is starting to give on them but it seems to have occured around the time I started using Dettol to get rid of the smell.

I have quite a few so had done about 5 washes with the Dettol to make sure I had gotten all the nappies... could this be causing the problem?? The inserts feel like they have gone through the wash with fabric softner (but they have not).

I've never used dettol in the wash - I've used dettol to soak things before the wash, and it takes 3 rinses (one hot), a double wash and an extra rinse to get the dettol off...

Thats what I was thinking.. Jakes had thrush so I was going to put all his nappies through on a hot was anyway.... might just have to do that with some extra rinses.

Hey Mel, I had leaky fuzzi's and put them through a wash with a 1/3c of vinegar and 1/3c baking soda then heaps of rinses and they were heaps better. Its usually washing powder etc stuck on the PUL layer of the outer.
What are you washing them in? I used to use Ecostore stuff but then when I went to Snazzipants they said it was the worse stuff to use and to try cold power.
