Oh my friend gets that. She descibes it as a "stitch" under her belly button. Is that the same? It gets really really painful when it happens,..and the first time she went to the hospital cos it was so bad, even tho it didnt feel like it was the baby but didnt know what it was. The Dr's were stumped but an experienced midwife said that she had seen a few people with it, and apparently its the old nerve endings and blood vesseles from her own belly button becoming senstive or something, cos of being disturbed by the rising uterus.

Yup I've had this as well. It's so sore and really quite hard to describe to a Dr or Midwife! I rang mine after a couple of days of it because it was so uncomfortable and there was nothing she could suggest other than a wheat bag or heat pack.
The good news is that for me it did go away after a little bit and I haven't had it back since! I hope its the same for you Frantic!
