I think DS may have Torticollis (or wry neck) - his head goes to one side and up on an angle when he lies down and it seems too stiff to move completely to the other side (even when we try and assist gently). Putting toys on the other side or lying him down and talking to him from the other side doesn't make him turn that way either, he will only move his head as far as straight forward or keep on the same side. It seems treatable with exercise & massage from what I have been reading.

Before I self diagnose though as we could be completely wrong, we want to take him to an osteopath - can anyone recommend a good one in Auckland?

And has anyone else's babies had this?

There is an osteo on Beach Rd in Papakura 2982279 or Clevedon 2929334.

My little man has trouble with wind so I am going to take him to one of these places. Good luck

Thanks for the referrals

Bobbie - at what age did you start the osteo? How many sessions did you need? I have read that increasing tummy time can assist with rectifying this too - did you find that? Sorry for all the questions!

Ooo the osteo on Beach Road in papakura is GREAT! We took Bella to him when she was 8 weeks old and he was lovely and it really worked, I highley recommend him!

ETA- We took Bella 3 times, for reflux and wind issues, but he also fixed her back and neck which were out and she was so much better afterwards.

We've done 3 sessions for both our girls. Rowan started hers at around 2 months I think.

Tummy time for Rowan was virtually non-existant for ages as she absolutely detested it so no help there sorry.
