Topic: winz - cloth nappies Posted: 19 March 2010 at 11:14am |
Hi my case mangaer at winz has told me i can get some money (that i will need to pay back) to buy clothes for my baby, does anyone know if i can get cloth nappies with this as well, i presume i can but thought i better check.
What shops do winz quotes, eg baby factory, baby city, t & t, or online nappy stores. I am in auckland so the shops would need to be up here.
also what are the best nappies i can get from the retail shops, i know there are pea pods (haven't really heard good things about them tho) and baby first. are there any others?

There are heaps of different types that you can get in retail shops. Best thing to do would be look in the cloth nappy discussion on here or have a look at the nappy lady nz website as she outlines the different types you can get. Generally you get what you pay for. The more expensive nappies are much better than the cheaper ones as I have discovered! Good luck :)

not necessarily true - pea pods are an excellent economical option for pocket nappies.
baby factory do real nappies, baby cheeks, pea pods and of course old fashioned flats.

real nappies prefolds are definitely an economical option. I also like my two peapods that I got second hand from trademe, so much that I just got a new one from baby factory - they are on special at the moment for $15.99

I used real nappies for the first little while and they were great. I have some mybaby ones from trade me and prefer them over my baby first, real nappies and pea pods BUT prefer my itti bitti and totbots over them, I can't afford any more of those at the moment so just making do with the others. I find I have to change very frequently now as DD can be a very heavy wetter at times, she seems to let it go all at once atm.

my case officer was going to give me help for cloth nappies but as the 0800 people didn't tell me I needed hubby's last 4 payslips I had to find them, and well by the time I did I had already had her and haven't really had a chance to go back in :/
I love my baby first nappies from baby factory! the lady who owns the mybaby nappies through tm do quotes too! she did one to me
